Null Sec carebear ship spinners and their tears over High Sec

There is immense irony in the flood of null sec tears over the perceived lack of risk/reward in high sec.

They live a life safe from the cares of the rest of Eve while they get fat and drunk drinking from the never ending passive isk fountains that permeate sov space. This boredom and apathy then leads to the making of Alts in search of conflict and pvp in, of all places, high sec.

Irony? No. History? Yes.

After Ghengis Khan conquered China, the Mongols[1] became soft as they were absorbed by Chinese culture, because, let's face it, no matter how comfortable your yurt is, nor how yummy your milk+mare's blood is, it's just not the same as a real bed, real food, women who bathe, clean clothes, et. al.

The same is happening in null.

I believe you are incorrect.

Those complaining about HiSec want CCP to force the carebears out of HiSec so that there will be more targets in low/null.

Eh, we have plenty of targets as is. Nullsec has more ship kills then the rest of New Eden combined.

So much for the "bored with noone to shoot so they're messing with highsec" theory advanced by certain 'people'.

The actual answer is more rooted in the specific dynamics of conflict between null entities and how the total lack of native industry effects that, as well as the principle of increasing reward with increasing risk while retaining game balance. Wardec immunity and NPC corps also negatively effect highsec gameplay and players of course, all my suggestions certainly don't ignore highsec players as legitimate players in a game.

A week ago I went through about 20 systems in Fade and Pure Blind, practically dead as a Door Handle, plenty of moon goo extracting equipment around though, I can assure you of that.

OP is right and everybody knows it.

Here I am to once more say that removing the dependency on gates and letting ships dial in system to system warps would be 50 percent of what the game needs. The renters in their gank pipelines is what keeps nullsec and the ISK fountains safe. Let people get past that, even without needs for conquest, and the gate camp (crap PVP for both sides of this activity) is replaced with the combat patrol.

The other half, is to make resources finite throughout all of the system types: mining more means less resources. You want to bot those belts and build cap ships galore? The belts run out. Just about every conflict in human history comes out of limited resources, but this game is proof that the only thing that would "end all wars" is unlimited resources (an impossibility). If there was a social experiment going on to find out what would happen if food, energy, etc, could be unlimited, this game is proof of what would happen.

And look how blued up they all are, to each other.

Make resources finite, make it possible to suck a moon dry, mine all of the roids out of a system, and completely strip-mine a planet, and you will see a lot of fighting. Give ships the ability to traverse without gates and WITHOUT the pilot needing to be in a nullsec alliance, and you will see high sec (after high sec is picked clean) coming to nullsec for more resources.

And no, it won't kill the economy when ships can be recycled better, like being able to build 2000 Rifters from the dead hulk of a cap ship for example - so after people are done fighting over dwindling resources, they will fight over salvage of the machines destroyed in the fighting over the resources too.

A good time will be had by all.

But... all of this depends on the players, who, having been brought to the game by the "he who has the most ISK wins" advertisements, will cry and gnash their teeth over anything that is not about racking up a number in a wallet, or some stats on a killboard, as if those are THE game.

I am ready to adapt, because this is a game after all.

OP, you have convinced me that I am wrong in my ways.
I will now move to highsec and shoot lasers at rocks for 16 hours a day.

Nullsec percentage of all kills in EVE - 52%. Wonder what that says about where you live then.

Please elect Sariah Kion, NPC forum alt, for CSM.

Her/His/Its ideas are fresh and well thought out and in now way smack of hatred towards any alliance/powerblock in the game.

Her/His/Its online community college certificate in Politics more than quilifies her/him/it to make the best choices for all sec dwellers, whether they be High, Low, Null or WH, and gives him/her/it more insight into the way the game needs to be changed than anyone who currently plays the game, or is in an actual player owned corporation.

For all these reasons and more, I, Unsuccessful at Everything, fully endorse Sariah Kion, NPC forum alt, for CSM.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

This has already been discussed and exposed to the light of day. Two sides of the same coin, they've been exposed for their hypocrisy, and nobody but forum warriors give a crap. Search function works (sometimes): try it.

Im not running for CSM. Never said anything of the sort.

Attack the message because this truth is very threatening for you. This conduct is to be expected.

i'm sure you're one of those who thinks that everyone in 0.0 are blue to each other and everyone has 5 tech moons per individual

you must also believe that holding a moon gets you a periodic injection of isk from NPCs

You sure spend a lot of time posting in this thread for someone not threatened by the truth that is shining down.
