So i was mining in a .5 system when i came across this.

mining machariel

Should i have blown his position, so that he would be ganked?

Because if you are asking me, mining in a machariel is asking to be ganked.

Edit:
I see you fixed your link...

I'd say it is resting.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Materials for War Preparation. You gotta mine the veld if you don't want to buy the overpriced 999 Veldspar from the station.

true but then you would use an actual mining ship and not a machariel.

Here we see the stately but deadly Machariel in its natural habitat. Between rat hunts, the Machariel can be seen lazing about in the asteroid fields, munching on rocks to aid in its digestion. Some observers have assumed the creature was merely lazy, and using the rocks as a sort of subsistence nourishment at times when it doesn't feel up to hunting. A truly graceful and enigmatic being is the Machariel.

What you have there is one of them very rare Mining Mach's.

Just more proof that the Mach is imba.

Plus, we should all be glad that mining lasers don't have falloff, otherwise that Mach would be sitting next to the station when mining the asteroid field.

That would be at greatly recuded yield.

You do know how falloff works, right?

We have seen the mining titan, I have personally seen a Chimera in a 0.4 belt mining with drones, we have also seen multiple billion isk officer fit mission boats that would perform better with a simple T2 fit, why not a mining mach? I'm bettting on stupid.

A Machariel....

MACHARIEL!!?!?!

Dear CCP, I hereby formally request you add Tech2 Pitchforks and Torches to the game, so that we my smite and/or burn the heretic/blasphemer in his very own Den. Thank you CCP for your timely intervention in this matter of extreme importance.

It would be balanced against the Mach's small cargohold. You may get reduced yield from falloff, but you're right next to the station and thus can unload ore quickly. Plus, instead of fitting cargohold expanders, you can fit CPUs for additional MLUs. On the down side, the station hugging Mining Mach wouldn't benefit from mining drones.

Of course, we would need to run Teh Numbers(tm) to see what the breaking point is between falloff loss and loss from traveling to/from the field and the impact of mining drones.

To the spreadsheets!
