Best PVE battleship in Amarr space?

Isn't NPC TD still broken and haxx? Should be recommending sentry boats.

Well that NPC TD affects all ships that use turrets, not only nightmare. However, Nightmare can deal with it most of the time, couple faction tracking computers / enchancers and carry a bit longer range ammo just in case - most Sansha use the optimal range scripts in their TD devices if I remember correct. Takes 2 sec to switch crystals in lasers if heavily disrupted.

Otherwise NM is running usually navy multifreq up to around 70 - 80 km range.

Marachiel would outdps Nightmare even against Sansha/Bloods up to approx 30 km mark when using republic EMP. While thats nice in many Sansha/Blood missions the bastards start at ~100 km from you so you will spend a while flying around or do suboptimal amount of damage. Marachiel is pretty fast in zipping around but not as fast as just locking and deleting NPC's from where you sit at.

Both are very good ships, just a different style. And ofc Nightmare is not as universal as its locked into EM/Therm damage types.

Used to be only optimal, the new and improved npc td affects both. NM used to handle them in falloff, which was unaffected. No longer. Both gets killed off. It's no better off than a pulseboat nowdays against td.

Mach is great for any space. Its fast, has a good tank, and does good dps. Not to mention its not limited to only em/thermal damage.

And its still not as good as a Nightmare in Amarr space.
