So, CCP just offered me a discounted rate for a month to resubscribe and I took the bait. I don't have a lot of direction with this character and would be open to suggestions that might enhance his value as either a support character (supposing I transfer him to my main (a Caldari Mission Runner, primarily), or sale value (which could also add value for my main).

Any suggestions welcome.

It would appear your toon is more for mining, but say you were to train Gunnery 5, Spaceship Command 5 and Gallente Cruiser 5, you would be able to train into a Tengu. Cruiser 5, however, would take around 24 days for you to train. You would then be able to sell your character as a Tech 3 pilot rather than a miner, which could go for anywhere from 2 Billion to 4.5 Billion. Maybe a little bit more. As it sits now, You could probably get somewhere on the lower end of that. I estimate that training time to be approximately 1 month, 7 days.

If you decide that you like the whole Tech 3 deal, I would probably stick with your character, and train up your support skills each to 4, as it makes for a nice clean sheet. All up to you, but I would say that if I were in your shoes...Tech 3 all the way!

I would get Research project mangement to lvl 4, & at least get some datacores researching going on him.

He would make a good industry/research alt with how you were training him.

Move him to Orca & then Rorqual training.

But to change to a combat pilot, I think would be a waste & total jumble mess of sp allocation.

Freighter pilot is always good to have as an alt.

Much you could do to him.

As is really only a miner.

My .02 cents

Kyt, taking some of your advice and working on Research Project Management now (well, after slightly improving cap skills).

I'm still a little confused about research. I'm working with one low level agent now, but that's not bringing in a whole lot of income. Can anyone point me towards a research character guide? There are a lot of research agent oriented skills, and I'm not entirely clear how to choose between them (or if Molecular Engineering is good enough).

I am bad at looking/searching for pass posts. Someone else might be better to link the site or program that gives you the breakdown on R&D datacore values.

What I did when I was a highsec carebear(damn always hate to admit that), I ran missions for the R&D NPC corp for like 5 different ones over all four factions. Yes it took a little time. But I do have 5 - lvl 4 R&D agents collecting mechanical datacores for me.

I only collect them once a year around christmas time & then sell them to buy me a nice shiny special internet spaceship.
