EVE - Respect the EVE

I am officially proclaiming myself the Savior of EVE.

I am personally tired of seeing "EvE" typed out. It is my position that this representation is disrespectful to this great game and franchise. I demand that you respect the name of EVE and will seek out and smite all those who choose to take the Name in Vain.

EVE - Love and Respect the EVE.

-redacted- - the comment removed was a statement in direct violation of the forum rules. Sol.

Thank you.

Yes, having EVE printed with large capital letters definitely gains much more attention, especially for marketing.

However, I don't see the need to 'reserve' a 2nd post in this thread, especially since there's plenty of room left in the op.

There may never be a need. However, if one arises, I will be ready. Are you?

Thank you.

Thank you.

Typing in all caps has never and will never make anyone or anything look more respectable.

It's the name of the game. Even the logo is in "all caps".

And, does alternating from cap-low-cap make it better? No. EVE is the name. Respect it.

Thank you.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. Corporation, faction and alliance members and other players are cautioned to avoid allowing “in character” disputes from becoming "out of character" personal attacks. The game is designed for role-playing and/or portraying a role and it is sometimes easy for tempers to flare when the lines between the virtual world and the real world are crossed. Please keep in-game disputes in the game and off the forum unless it is clearly a mutual, in-character exchange.

7. Trolling is prohibited.
Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the players. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not contribute to the sense of community we want for our forums.

Thread cleaned up. Please post constructively and respectfully.

At this time I would also like to point out that every single reference to the name of the game (EVE) in these forum categories is typed out as "EVE".

However, using "Eve Online" is still an acceptable form of respect. Although "EVE Online" would be more appropriate and show the respect deserved of an almost 10 year old game.

"EvE", or referring to a game many play as a co-operative game as "Everyone vs Everyone", is a horrible form of disrespect.

Respect the EVE.

Thank you.

I am fully rested and welcoming a new day of fun and excitement in New Eden: the universe of EVE Online!

While flying around in EVE, I will be enjoying WALL-E (the movie). And, just like WALL-E has his directive, mine is to be the Savior of EVE and make sure this great paradigm is respected in the way which it deserves!

Enjoy your day playing EVE.

Thank you.

Why not? There's precedent, e.g. the Christians hold a Jew as their Savior. It could happen again.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Sorry mister false prophet, but I will have to say no.

EvE stands for Everyone vs Everyone. So I will continue to use the term EvE whenever possible.

Of course with the advent of the Big Blue Blob, Its less Everyone vs Everyone and more Everyone blues Everyone, But EbE just sounds like youre saying EvE with a plugged nose...or youre Fran Drescher.

Finally, there is only 1 savior in EvE. His name is James315, and hes eating your crabcakes.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Incorrect. It does not stand for that. As many pilots interact in a co-operative manner. I am also not Fran Dresher.

James 315 is the Saviour of High Sec. Hardly the same thing as I am. I dislike crab cakes. He may eat all he wishes. Yet, none will be mine as I do not have any crab cakes.

Thank you.

In your face!

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

What? No monies are needed to Respect the EVE. However, your donation will be put to good use. Such as sending James 315 some crab cakes and maybe Fran Dresher to rhinoplasty.

Thank you.
