Help launching eve. Once I hit the "play" button my computer just restarts.

On my secondary computer I wanted to install EVE so that I can mine while doing other things on my main computer.
The computer is freshly reformatted with windows 7 ultimate and only the neccasary things to run. Like video drivers, WIFI card drivers, flash, java, direct x 11.
As soon as I hit the "play" button from the launcher the black login screen appears for a split second then my computer just restarts.
I am running the 313.96 nvidia drivers for my 8800gtx. I have also tried the 310 one.
Any suggestions, I have ran the repair tool multiple times.

I'm not an expert, but aside to that sexy 8800GTX i once had (I have a 9800GTX on home pc now), I figured that it is best to stick to older drivers. At least that works for me.
Unfortunately, I do not know which version exactly, but maybe you could try that. My driver however was around the 2009 - 2010. Since then, I did not update it as that usually is a source of new problems, especially since the card is no longer supported (or just old as the next gen cards are the big thing now).

Would be good to figure if you can get bluescreen's to show up, so you can read the code what is causing the error.
I heard Eve also may have a crash-log file somewhere. Not sure if you'll get info, but if all fails, look for those.

Using tablet, typoes are common and I'm not going to fix them all.

I have tried multiple drivers, even the very first win7 ones. I guess tonight I will try the ones that actually came with the disk.
I have a extra xp and vista win copies I may try for arguments sake. i actually got the login screen to stay up in eve safe mode last night but it was late and i didn't try logging in.

Have you tried any other graphics intensive games on this machine? Would be good to know if this is just eve causing this or intensive graphics full stop

Also, there is a repair tool on the Eve Launcher (click the hammer/screwdriver symbol in the top right of the launcher window and select client settings) - run this and it should verify and correct any problems with your install.
