Anyone know what cable to run to use a HDTV for a monitor? My TV says it can.
Also do you NEED a second video card to run two? Id like to set it up so that I can use the TV as a second monitor, but atm I only have one card. Is there a VGA splitter cable out there or something?

HDMI, IIRC.

Single card, two monitors. For instance, I'm using a Radeon HD4650.

Old setup right after they killed Eve Classic. Right before they killed shader 2 I used Input director to control 2 PC's, HP Media Center(4 client running netflix streaming beast) and a cheap who cares PC.

Just for sheer effort, I think this post is in lead at the moment...

derp derp
I didnt read that all the way through..

no no vga splitter cable
buy a VGA D/A (vga distribution amplifier)
heres a basic 1x2 VGA DA
http://www.amazon.com/Extron-P-2-DA2-Plus/dp/B002B984EM

extron makes quality ones you can sell when you're done with it, its pro gear

but any VGA distribution amplifier will work

really its just cheaper to buy a card that supports 2 monitors
mine is about 20-40 bucks now

So explain the cable setup... Cord comes out of monitor to PC, do I get a cable that splits off that cord an goes to the TV or what lol

My HD4650 has two VGA heads, so I just run two cables to two monitors. If I wanted to use my HDTV as a monitor, I'd do the same thing because it has a VGA connector. IIRC, my card also has an HDMI connector, so if the TV didn't have VGA I'd just use an HDMI cable. Either way, Windows should allow you to set up which display goes on which monitor (same thing for Linux, I don't give a **** about Mac).

Play Eve on a laptop at a strip club.

P.S. If anyone figures out how to balance a laptop with a lap dance, please do tell.

Ha! One time I was setting at one of those high tables in a nicer pub with my back to the wall playing simcity on a laptop. And this guy walk over grabs my laptop and turns it around. I said something like what the F do you think you're doing. He said I have to make sure you're not looking at porn. I got ghetto on his ass! You probably couldn't tell by looking at me, but I didn't get out of the ghetto till my teens. You know that saying, "You can take the mofo(subsitute your term of choice) out the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out the mofo". So anyways I had to leave the pub.

Back on subject. Was reading over in the Mac thread the new mini's seem to run Eve, so I think I'm going to pic one up tonight. Will post pics later.

When clean my computer desk (with 2 screens only) is pretty nice to work/play by I think.
Have let it go lately though and would have to do some serious cleaning to dare post a pic of it here. P

All hail the terrible camera phone. I couldn't find my charger for my real camera anywhere.
