CCP - Fix Drone aggro please.

I must deduce that the ACTUAL problem is between the chair and keyboard. Since I prefer to believe that most people aren't pants on head stupid I can only conclude that you must be trying to play afk. Maybe I drew the wrong conclusion in this case?

When the little red bars start to turn red, your drones are being shot.

It is not hard, if you are actually playing the game.


Hopefully CCP weeds through some of the trolling and white knighting like the above and takes a long look at the situation.

I am holding out hope that they can get something done for the summer. It would be nice to hear some feedback from them however.

You have ZERO knowledge of what I have and have not done.

Maybe, just maybe there is a poorly behaving gurista cruiser that causes issues; but I have not seen one yet. Do AI's shoot my drones? Yes, sometimes they do. Oh the horror! Shoot each AI in your pull group with a single shot before deploying drones. Or, simply harass them with a TP/damper/whatever.

I run anoms, sigs, and belts primarily in null and missions in high. These are my main income sources. I used drone boats 75% of the time (snake, ishtar and Domi mostly).

For those who actually still send drones out past 1km from their ship are still watching their drones get insta-popped by broken AI mechanics that think that six battleships insta-locking and alpha striking light drones is just dandy... guess what? Things still suck.

When drones die to insta-lock and one-shot alpha strikes then "management" doesn't come into the picture. At all. At this point drones are nothing more than two seconds worth of aggro chaff.

"Use ECM to draw aggro" - So fix one broken game mechanic by exploiting another broken game mechanic? Brilliant! Well I guess that means CCP can go take the weekend off, now. Nothing needs to be fixed after all! Wow that was easy.

You don't seem to want to see you are part of an extremely small minority. Most folks have adapted and moved on. I would be very surprised if CCP rolled back any part of the AI changes. Now the UI is another issue altogether.

The need to use common sense tactics aside (like make sure the NPC's see you as a bigger threat than your drones, don't over extend, etc.) I'm not sure I can see how if as you claim NPC's don't act in a 100% predictiable manner... that this is in any way a bad thing.

About the most I can see is being totally embarrassed to admit I can't beat the NPC's unless they do the exact same thing every time.
