tl;dr: Did anyone wonder whether the guy is just spouting BS? If he had 10bn a day he could start buying up the entire market. Empty Jita of all its goods for a whole day, that sort of thing.

Buy all of the Fuel Blocks and Fuel Block ingredients, everywhere... and watch the entire EVE economy roller-coaster out of control... well, it's worth a try if only for a few giggles... and you'd have to keep the pressure on for a good month, at least.. and for what it's worth, it's EVIL. Twisted

All this convinces me to do some day is buy out an entire market and just see what happens.

A few suggestions.
1. Hire three merc corps to declare war on each other simultaneously. Watch.
2. Place huge bounties on known Dev alts for no reason at all.
3. Faction fit a few rookie ships. Jump through choke points around EvE. Watch forums to see pirates go all giddy.
4. Buy toons off market and go after whomever trained them up with their old toon.
5. Buy tons of plex and move it all out to null sec to sell. Repeat.

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friends nose. Unless you podded them...and collected their corpse.

10B a day would be enough to begin destabilising the plex market by buying out and hording the plex. you could buy 16 a day, which is 480 a month.

You could form your own alliance and embark on a great crusade to control all of claimable nullsec at a given time. Then gain control of the lowsec corps and militias and possible monopolize nearly everything on the hi-sec markets. Essentially, you would have 100% control of New Eden, something that nobody has succeeded at before.

That, or you could give me half of the money and I will use it to buy the rare one of a kind collectable ships and then die horribly attempting to PVP in them.

Eve, for being all sandboxy, is sorely lacking in this department.


However, if you have this much isk, you should simply buy enough votes to get yourself on the CSM, enjoy your trips to iceland, and try to affect some changes in eve so that the truly wealthy have the power over others that they should have.

Not necessarily.
Amung other things, vast wealth menas the ability to adjust markets, which means he has the ability to impact pretty much *everyone* in EVE. In addition, he's able to sponser events which will involve possibly thousands of people dancing to his tune. I'd call that influence.
