Cosmic signature disappeared?

I scanned down some sites to 100% and saved the locations to my people and places.

After 3 hours or so time I warped to one of the locations I saved and there was nothing there.
So is the places supposed to be disappearing after some time from being found?
If then, how much time?

it didn't have maintenance in between the saving and warping.

Somebody else scanned it down after you left, went and cleared the site.

The same sigs are there for everyone, they despawn once cleared and cause a spawn of another sig somewhere else.

EDIT: There's also a hell of a lot of people running around scanning. It may seem like you're the only one, but they're everywhere.

What kind of site? If someone else runs them, they vanish in a few minutes.

Sites never disappear "by themselves". Someone else scanned it down and did it before you did.

Wait a minute. I thought they moved on after a couple of weeks if no one found them. Also if someone warps to one, but does not do it I thought it moved on after a few days.

(But in this case most likely someone else did the site. Ive had them disappear between getting them to 100% and arriving on site even though I warped right after getting 100%).

I agree, more than likely someone else scanned and completed the site before he got to it.

With no Capsuleer interaction, most exploration sites will only stay around for a few days, the large Grav sites usually last a couple days longer.
