Atomic Ranch reminds me of early 90's techno/industrial like SMG or KMFDM. Metroland kind like a 80's radio chart feel going for it.

Damn.
Liking that. A LOT. Smile

Have to say, it reminded me of this. For which I thank you.

Edit:
the above link comes from The Institute of Official Cheer, which is full of stuff much like that video.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

I'm staring in Horror at the link for "12 Wonderful Starch Plates", and not clicking yet.

Very Kraftwerk-ian, yet new.

Edit: I just realized I found OMD Thirty-Three years ago !

Bands used to last not even a quarter of that time. Interesting.

Also, I have seen them live 4 times over the years but not in about 15.

It is my understanding that OMD derive considerable influence from Kraftwerk. Which is excellent.

In case you missed my thread back in January: http://www.veoh.com/watch/v17166226D39Jw7dc?h1=Kraftwerk+and+the+Electronic+Revolution

You have to register to download it, but do NOT install their Veoh Player. It's just an MP3 that will play through what you already have.

Warning: it is exactly 3 hours long.

Excellent...Cool

And thank you - I *did* miss the January thread.

Edit:
I've got some very fond memories of sitting in my pimped-out Vega, listening to Kraftwerk, watching the lights on my equalizer bounce, indulging in some recreational herbal products whilst my manager demonstrated some seriously advanced oral techniques not involving music. Left me with a lifelong appreciation of blondes and electronica. Cool

Yeah, I was the poster-child for 'slacker' back then. Totally clueless, but sitting in the cat bird's seat. If only I knew then just how good I had it. P
Well, I still have Kraftwerk. Blink

That sounds like a 21st Century paean to the 20th !

I really enjoyed this live performance of the 1st song off their last album...their return. Especially Andy's comment at the end of the song:

I always find it interesting that the first song on almost all their albums was always an odd reach in a new direction.
