Mission runner gank plan

I was going to put this in the skills forum but I feel like you guys might have better perspective.

I'd like to train up a new character using a buddy invite and maybe another 30 days in order to infiltrate a corp and gank mission runners.

I'd like to train up and then using either a torp raven or torp typhoon with a couple of neuts, take down a fellow corpy mission runner (thought s on the raven vs the phoon? Any other good options?).

Any suggestions for a skill plan? I'm looking for more than just a fit because some skills I won't really need to train up being that I'll be PVP fit and they will be pve fit, plus I'll be able to scan for their resitance holes, etc.

(I know I am a bad person)

Just some stuff

Go in as the weaker party so they agree to take the agree to take the agro. wait until its a heavy dps mission and take note of the type of damage coming in. Your damage should be what they are not speced for. IE angels make sure you are doing EM/therm damage.

Neuts are the best as mission runners almost always use an active tank.

Always try to find out whether they fit an omni tank or spec for the mission.

Never ask who has the most expensive ship and complete missions with them for a while until you are trusted.

lastly as you are ganking them dont let them know as a lot of times they will be completely unaware of what is happening if there are 15 BS on the field

I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

I would agree with Karn - generally it's easy to know what kind of tank they have, just look at the mission specs. Most mission runners that I've run with DON'T omni-tank unless the mission requires it.

Two suggestions:

On a heavy-DPS mission, it is just as effective (assuming an active tank on the part of your victim) to simply web/scram the victim and then neut them - the mission NPCs will do the rest. You wouldn't even have to fit guns to make the kill.

Start bringing a small shield transfer array and act as a back-up logistics. They'll get used to you targeting them and won't think twice when you do once you decide to kill them.

Try to get a role in the corp as well, because if you don't have one and they're quick, you can be booted from the corp while in space, and then you will not receive a warning - CONCORD will simply destroy you the next shot you fire. It's an odd mechanic, but you can't be booted in space if you have a role in the corp, no matter how minor. There are plenty of roles that shouldn't arouse suspicion.

As for skills, I would train for warp disruptors (propulsion jamming), webbing, and neuting. Add some basic turrets and you should be all set to grief some mission runners :)

I'll be the first to say that you are dispicable and a horrible person.

Now, I'd go with Minmatar as artillery yields a great amount of ass kicking, and projectile turrets do make it harder for the target to realize what direction the shots are coming from. Maelstrom would be my suggestion for the exact ship

Protip: once your victim has 'targeted back' their maximum number of targets, you can target them and they might not notice anything except the flashy box around you. In a busy L4 with scram frigs you will go unnoticed, especially if you're at a bit of range, some overviews are set to 'distance' in a mission.
Patience pays. Get familiar with which missions are easy and which take some attention. Bonus for neut/web/point/jam that allows mission rats to do the asploding.

Can't be booted in space...

Here, OP. Use this. Minimal skill training, with a cerebral accelerator you can get it going in 2 weeks. Plug it into evemon, and train for that.

You can forgo the heavy drones if you wish, but they're easy DPS. You might have to downgrade the heavy neut to another medium depending on how much training you've put into support. Otherwise, bring a T1/T2 RR cruiser (fit for max reps) and you'll be invincible.

Honestly, I would recommend waiting until they've cleared the field so long as your target isn't a 4 SPR brick drake or rattlesnake. You can easily neut them out, and then you can ransom them. Then blow them up anyway. Extra isk, best isk.

Lots of good advice in this thread. I'd just like to add that if you also have logistics available and they do not, your newbie alt can take on much larger mish runner gangs as they will not be able to agress the people repping you without Concord smacking them down.

You can probably keep using the same alt too, many corps don't even check KB history. The main problems you'll have with finding new corps come from raging victims convoing your new corp's leadership.

Also, you're a terrible person.

Many high sp drake pilots just omni passive tank since they can fit it and the bonuses don't require refitting every time. Try to avoid those and omni tanked Ishtars
