What is the effect of tackling a ship with more than one web stasifier?

Is the benefit negated because stasifier slows based upon a percentage? Or is there some sort of cumulative effect which will bring enemies to an utter crawl?

Diminishing returns if I recall correctly

The first web will provide the full effect... the second will provide ~80% of the full effect... the third ~50%... and so on.

Cumulative.

If you get webified by 5 NPCs you will be slowed down to a crawl of 5 m/s or somesuch.

Each webifier brings the speed of the webbed target down.

However, stasis webifiers have a stacking penalty, so any more then 3 webs on a target is just wasting webs or wasting mid-slots.

Stasis Webifier. Smile

You could fit more than one and have results, yes. Some ships even have a bonus to that effect.

However, generally you'll only fit one because you need those mid fitting slots for other stuff, like an Afterburner (AB) or Micro Warp Drive (MWD) or Shield Tanking modules, if you are so inclined.

I like 'web stasifier'.
Sounds like something Bond would be sent to destroy.

Web Stasifier would quickly become Web Satisfier, and the internets are never satisfied.

NPCs still use the stasis webs of old. Reduce velocity by 90% and no stacking penalties.

Read up on stacking penalties....

Stasis webifiers have a cumulative affect that is modified by stacking penalties...

Using a meta4 webs...

The first web reduces the target's velocity by 60%....
The second web is only 87% effective because of the stacking penalty, and will reduce the target's velocity by an additional 52.2%
The third web is only 57% effective because of the stacking penalty, and will reduce the target's velocity by an additional 34.2%
The fouth module will be 28% effective...

So,
with 1x web, the target will go 40% of it's max velocity...
with 2x web, the target will go 19.12% of it's max velocity...
with 3x web, the target will go 12.58% of it's max velocity...
with 4x web, the target will go 10.47% of it's max velocity....

As you can see.... after the third web, additional webs only have a marginal effect....

Tracking disruptors and Target Painters also have stacking penalites....
Points, Scrams, and ECM do not have stacking penalties... although they operate on a different principle..

The items you fit to your ship that modify the same attribute also receive stacking penalties...
Example: Armor Hardeners, EANM's, Nanofibers, Damage Amplifiers, Tracking Enhancers/Computers, etc...

Some items are especially valuable because they do NOT suffer stacking penalties: DCU's, Trimarks, etc...

This is a valid point.

If you're talking about a _player_ webbing something, see the other posts regarding diminishing returns (1/.87/.57/.28/...), but if you're talking NPCs, straight-up multiplicative stacking.

NPCs also cheat by using pre-diminishing-returns EWar, so their target dampers, for example, are absurdly crippling instead of kind of annoying.
