Keep filters on when switching to compact mode in inventory

Right now, when you activate the new (and lovely) compact mode in the inventory window, your filters turn off. Please save their state. Pretty please. It's just bad design to turn them off.

If you're gonna post here thinking your idea is the greatest thing since bacon and that it will save EVE and possibly all humankind with it, you're gonna have a bad time.

Actually, the "new" feature is them simply putting back the original way (at the request of many people, including myself).

Filters are part of the New Unified Inventory. Not the original design, otherwise referred to as "compact mode".

I do not support your suggestion.

Thank you.

I think you might have misunderstood me. I only want for filters to remain active when you switch to compact mode. Not display them at all time.

For instance, if I turn on my T1 ammo filter and switch to compact mode, I want only my T1 ammo to show up. Currently the filters deactivate and I can see all my items.

I understood you perfectly well. And I was informing you that "compact mode" is an emulation of the old inventory screens.

Did you explore the other cargo hold window options available to you? I think you might find that you can modify them to get the results you are looking for: more compact and still filtered.

Thank you.

Then I don't see your problem. If you don't want filters to be active, just turn them off before switching.

It's a design flaw to have compact mode reset your filters. It should just change the visual representation of the window, not affect its parameters in any other way.

If you're gonna post here thinking your idea is the greatest thing since bacon and that it will save EVE and possibly all humankind with it, you're gonna have a bad time.

You don't see one because I do not have a problem. I understand that if I Choose™ to use compact mode that the Consequence™ will be no filters.

Thank you.

Since when compact means no filtering? Compact = less space visually occupied by the inventory window. It has nothing to do with functionality.

"Compact" has nothing to do with functionality?

Wow.

Thank you.

But I see your attempted point. Maybe your suggestion should be for them to reterm "compact mode" to "original mode".
