Can't enlist to fw, client is confused about my standings.

Hi.

I had a long chat in helpchannel, but nobody seems to be able to help me.

I've spent two days grinding lvl2 distribution missions to raise my caldari faction standings
from -0.68 up to ... well, i don't know ... i guess neutral.

Took me around three or four cycles of faction missions to get it from -0.68 to -0.08
and then, after the last one, the standing information vanished.

I clearly remember the caldari being in "disliked by" at -0.08 and after completing the last
faction mission, they vanished from the "disliked by"-tab. They aren't showing on the "liked by"-tab either.

My diplomacy skill is at 4, btw.

So, i wanted to join the caldari fw, finally, after two days of jumping around hauling ****,
i click "Enlist me" and it says that my standings are too low, at -1.8900.

My caldari standings never were that low in the first place, except maybe without diplomacy,
but i can't verify that anymore. It seems, though, that my diplomacy skill gets ignored,
but i have no idea.

The only thing i know is that the window says it's -1.8900, and i have NO ways to verify that,
as i don't know where else i could look up my caldari faction standings. What i DO know is that
my standings SHOULD be at least 0.00, as my last known standing was -0.08 (with dipl. 4).

I have already cleared my cache, but it didn't change anything. As my client seems to be rather bugged,
with the launcher not working at all, i'll try a reinstall and then report to this thread again.

If ANYBODY has an idea what to do ... please do tell.

Maybe it'll help somebody else.

Neutral standings won't show since you're neither 'Liked' or 'Disliked'. Probably the best thing to do is run another Agent mission that gives Faction Standing increase.

There's an easier way to raise Faction Standing. Instead of grinding out 16 regular missions to get 1 storyline mission for Faction Standing increase, check out 'The Plan'.

Once you have a standing, be it good or bad, you will always have a standing with that faction.

that being said, FW takes standings before skills so no matter what your diplo is at, it doesnt matter.
try looking at caldari NAvy or some other caldari corp standings. your faction should also be displayed there. I would guess that you have crossed the line between disliked and liked and are buried somewhere near the bottom of your list.

If looking at another caldari corp's standing info still doesnt show you what your standing are to Caldari Faction. then petitioning is the only thing you have left to do

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.
