Can you organise a campaign launch event with mass carebear ganking in/around Dodixie sometime soon?

If it's in the hours before downtime I'll participate and can contribute a hundred Catalysts to the cause.

It already happened in Brapelille earlier this week.

For a minute, all you could see in local was an endless stream of 315! Its rare to have massive events like this in high sec nowadays.

But yea Im totally down for a campaign rally! Lets do it!!!

How many Catalysts does it take to blow up a blinged-out missioning ship before CONCORD steps in, I wonder?

Potentially only one to shoot rats, cause pocket aggro and warp out and another to point the carebear's ship.

Mission rats can switch aggression now. That's bad for ninja salvagers and mission baiters.

Yes.

Their tears are wonderfully delicious, especially when they also warp in a repper alt/buddy in a blinged out t2 logi cruiser.....right inside a cluster of mission rats....during a level 4.....

Cool

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

Actually, this is a myth. Thank you for propagating it. though, it's good for business. The new NPC AI rarely works against the ninjas. Often the rats help the ninja out by applying additional DPS to the Bear. It's a beautiful sight to see.

I have nothing but respect for people that bait baiters back for some PVP action.

Just like the guys that hunted me down and popped me when I went suspect flagging the other day. I tried to set a trap, they set a better one, outplayed me and got to scoop my loot.

When carebears start setting traps, they have evolved out of carebearism and no longer need to be exterminated.

In the past, all of the rat DPS would stay on the missioner. The NPC AI change is a negative for ninja salvagers and mission baiters - I personally don't know how significant of a negative it is, because I haven't mission baited recently. If, as you say, it is a very slight negative, then I am glad.

I guess the last 3 ninja's I saw were just very unlucky then......but so far, the rats are 3 for 3.

Warping in within 5 km of a megacluster of rats can't be good for business, regardless.

All 3 I saw got scrammed, jammed, and popped inside of 10 seconds.

Local chat then got very interesting..:)

Very slight negative, trust me. This guy above me is talking out of his ass about ninjas getting popped by rats. You do need to be aware of the rats and what they are doing, but that's about all. They don't switch targets very often. If you are in a small ship you can generally speed/sig radius tank the one or two rats that might eventually switch to you if you hang around long enough. If you are in a larger ship you might want to get a logi-bro to help deal with the small amount of additional incoming damage. Pretty much business as usual.

I ninjaed a bit a couple of years ago, and only recently took it up again as a way to help break some of the new guys in my corp out of their carebear mentality. The suspect flag from looting and the new rat AI have added a level of risk to it that wasn't there before, but not as much as you might think. It makes it more fun, actually.

If losing a ninja looting ship hurts you, you're doing it wrong.

Like the guy who shot me on a highsec gate in a Navythron the other day. He was doing the whole suicide ganking thing very wrong. (I was in an Ishtar worth less than half his hull)
