Does anyone think the male portraits turn out so much better than the female ones?

Ta-tas are your cure-all!

But on a more serious note, try studying the faces of women and notice the different structures of them. Makeup and hair are also pretty important. A flattering profile image helps too. Lighting, expression, background choice, and the posture make a big difference.

And if she's still ugly, you just gotta flaunt whatcha got. Or throw her into a deep dark room and hope no one misses her.

If anything the female avatars have it easy, just like in real life, boobs more than make up for a face like a slapped arse.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I've always found females characters in pretty much every game have loads more variety than male characters. I would like to see CCP work on a jiggle engine though, instantly more popular than ship spinning would be the mini trampoline in the captain's quarters Twisted

It's much easier to screw up the chin / jaw line and get into uncanny valey with the female portraits, IMO. Males can have quite a bit more range in the chin width / jaw / nose size, etc., and still look acceptable.

Hehe, you weren't meant to, it's a deliberately offensive statement which I find funny, everything after "just like in real life" is a direct quote from a female friend regarding so called "glamour models".

Personally I'm a legs and bum man, boobs are nice but they're only part of the equation.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Note to self: finish watching Gattaca.

As spiffy as it would be to have more avatar hairstyles, etc., I'm a bit torn on whether to support the idea. On one hand, WiS is a complete waste of time because Eve is about internet spaceships, on the other hand, avatar snapshots feature prominently on the forums.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I mean when you hit the "randomize all" button on the male models you get a smoking hotie with nearly every single click. It's like sifting through calvin klein ads. But then when you design a female character you end up right in the uncanny valley and you have to work quite hard to make one that looks believable.

I don't understand why though. I think the eyes are a big part of it.

Oh look a real person

Posting on this character because apparently some people get upset when they're asked difficult questions. M.

I certainly had to work harder to make my female characters look great. Big smile In all cases I started with randomization until I found an interesting starting point and improved it from there.
