So I was walking down the street the other day, and some chump wanted to give me a suitcase full of gold. I was like, no way man, you expect me to carry that heavy thing? How much does that weigh, anyway? Hell no! Carry it your-damn-self, you selfish little man!

Came expecting tears of WoW, pleasantly surprised and still left satisfied.

WoW is great, I can go afk suddenly to look after my newborn baby and not really risk losing anything at all!

Eve on the other hand, is unplayable.

So what does that mean? WoW, amazingly enough, supports ones having a 'real life' WAY better than Eve does.

No tears here. I only sub to Eve for the hilarious forums.

These are tears, even if you say "no tears here", that isn't a magic charm that turns tears into gold.

Tears of laughter!

Eve players are the funniest MMO players in the genre. So serious, so 'cold harsh reality'. I read somewhere once "The Internet is like a microscope peering into the human psyche. MMOs are like having a really interesting sample of pond scum on the slide."

Just look at yourselves.

You're the person who spends real life money for a game he doesn't like, and appears to not like the game because he can't (as an adult) handle the idea of imaginary loss of imaginary spaceship looking pixels....But we should look at OUR selves.

You're right, it' is funny up in here Twisted .

Its amazing how much ISK you can make without actually 'playing' the game, as such. Even enough to fund an account through PLEX.

I entered on this thread expecting some sort of whining.

I saw some sort of inane rambling about people complaining about gaining what could be equivalent to some 5 months of skilling just because you might need to dock up and update your clone because of that.

I still don't understand why people are whining about that, but at least I got some tears.

The forums are all about whining. Players act tough in game but on the forum they are a bunch of wussies :P

The 'hard core pvpers' whine about how its so hard to engage other players in non-consensual pvp, the 'carebears' whine about how its so easy to get drawn into non-consensual pvp, the 'null sec bears' whine about how highsec is 'too good' and the 'highsec bears' whine about how nullsec conglomerates rule the game.

Whining is what its all about here :P

I thought I was going to have to wait for patch day to start harvesting tears over this issue.

I prefer taking the ****.

Edit: except its such an adult game I'm not allowed to use that word. LOL

Just think about that for a moment; 'cold harsh reality' space game, players taking risks and killing each other for fun but can't use a colloquial word for urine on the forums.

All of this will happen for the Summer 2013 expansion. That’s a lot to take on, which is why we wanted to give you as much of an advance notice as possible so you can react accordingly. We do hope this will clear any confusion on the matter – all of this is final and should not change at this point.

You still haven't addressed the problems that the skill changes will make to cloning, clone cost, upgrades and the possible skill losses from players who die after the changes with out dated clones thanks to the potential 6 million addtional skill points.

We have some plans to help mitigate those challenges but nothing quite ready to announce yet.

So basically, 2 months more of ignoring the obvious problem and lying to players only to come back and say, tough luck guys, you're screwed for all the reasons you warned us about b/c we think we know something.

I guess the years of telling players, hey, you can stop training an account at any time and not pay for higher clone cost was a lie. As well as forcing players to always buy a more expensive clone... thus hurting their pocket and risk factors.

Good player relationship bro's.

good god, stfu you drooling idiot.

if you get 6m free skillpoints, and you are too stupid / oblivious to do something to protect those skillpoints, then you deserve to ******* lose them. Although I wish you'd lose your password to eve, because people like you that can't wipe their own arse without mommy's help..... oh god, why do I even bother. The OP is probably went to google "oblivious" at this point, and got distracted when he found god-codes for TES: Oblivion. never-f'ing-mind.

CCP, can we haz the Un-Like button yet? :P

yaay i can respond to this post.

if you are an older player the last thing you should be worring about is your clone cost. you should have enough isk to laugh at this small fee.

I will be affected by the issues described. The extra SP will put me above my current clone's capacity. Being an older toon, It will also significantly raise the cost of my clone upgrades.

As someone who is effected, I think it only right and good that my view on the subject is seen as having some weight in this discussion.

My view, by the way is "Who gives a flying ****?"

Wut?!?!?! That doesn't make any sense whatsoever...

Take a step back from the bong, and don't post while stoned.

Basically, if you have BC 5 and Destroyer 5 currently trained, You will get a 6.2 million increase in skill points post patch. In other words, major clone cost increases for older players who stopped training, risk of clone skill loss for players who log in after the patch, and several other major consequences.

All OP needs to do is pod themselves without updating, until they've lost those few million skill points. Then your preferred clone tier can be yours! Cool

You can't even spell "Wow" correctly. How do you expect anyone to take you seriously after that? It does, however, explain quite a few things.

The OP presents another PRO for the removal of upgrading clones. It is so 2003 to have to pay & upgrade everytime you die. Lets fck that off and just charge a fee everytime time someone jumps clones instead.

When you die you should spawn in a clone that has your current SP automatically. No costs, no upgrading, no limits and no fckin about.
It would be better all round for pubies and veterans alike. You would get back in the fun and fights much quicker with no worry about SP or the costs of upgrading.

In fact, I'd do away with the hole cloning and installation system in favour of a simplified spawn selection system.

5. Ranting is prohibited
A rant is a long-winded, redundant post, often filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

20. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are not constructive, insulting or rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

Due to OP breaking the above two rules, and multiple breaches of trolling and respectful posting rules by other posts, this thread is locked.
