A shield drone proteus, well I wasnt thinking of a Proteus to begin with. But def not one like that, its not half bad but I prefer mine which has almost 4x the tank and only slightly less DPS.

Obviously this fit isnt realistic even for me, but a fully (properly) fit state issue raven with the right implants and rigs will do just about 3300 DPS. Again its not realistic but on paper its the highest subcap you can get.

That's a Myrmidon, not a Proteus fit.

The Astarte can get some pretty silly dps, but at that investment, you may as well fit 3 Brutixes for very similar performance.. It's too bad. I'm pretty stoked for future changes to make it more viable (hopefully).
I am pretty much totally ok with Blasters being dps kings. It's flavorful and, come on...they're called BLASTERS.

First come smiles, then lies. Last is gunfire.

'Geddon Navy Issue

1200 dps using a cheap all tech 2 fit. 3xHSII, 1DDAII, full rack of megapulse II. I usually use bouncer II's. Pretty inexpensive, too. Lack of mids is really the only problem, but I'd never fly a BS without a gang anyhow.

Highest dps in what situation? Because Vindi, as awesome as it is, doesn't do a whole lot of damage 100 km out. :p Personally I prefer fast, small, medium range ships, because their actual damage application tends to be quite good, while they remain fast enough to run from what they can't reliably kill. Not the most damage? Who cares, enough mosquito bites can down an elephant.

The highest DPS ship in EVE is a Moros which tops out at 16209 DPS (18640 overloaded).
If you want to include a doomsday, an Erebus tops it slightly at 17761 DPS but no one is going to put 3 magstabs and a T2 DPS rig on a titan so it's not very relevant.

My Abbadon gets pretty high up in DPS when I fit it for that but normally I don't like to go straight gank.

The highest paper DPS possible is 37813 DPS, from a Moros in a C6 Magnetar. This fit puts out more DPS than an Erebus or Avatar with the same setup, doomsday included.

I (my alt) had a ship that did some 8000 DPS, sold that, now he has an Archon, that does a round 1000, other than that, not sure.

It might actually be my shield harb, some 800+ DPS with Heat/Conflag and Valks.

If you're talking sub-cap and realistic fits, then a shield navy domi can spit out comparable DPS to a vindi - slightly more than the sensible armor buffer vindi fits posted in this thread.

Mission fit Vargur with RP gyros and a T2 RoF rig, can break 1000 with CN ammo. That's just the highest I've gone with a ship i actually used. Not including drones.
