Getting back into lv4 missions

So I haven't done mission running for any real length of time, not since 2009. But i don't which NPC corp to do them with. I currently only have access to lv4 Amarr and Caldari, neither of which interest me. I have been told that roden shipyards are a good choice as they have a good LP store 2-3 lv4 agents in systems with a 0.5 sec status which from i was told give better rewards. And much less chance of being given missions in low sec.

So would roden shipyards be a good choice? would that mean that i would be killing caldari NPC in their missions? Because i would like to go where i want without being shot at by other factions. And that's another question. Is there anyway of avoiding this? I mean I had a guy that could do lv5 gallente mission with a 5.0 sec rating and could go anywhere in high sec including caldari space. Does having a 5.0 rating mean you can go wherever you want no matter you stating with different factions?

One final question re-guarding ships. I going to use 2 machariel's and 1 noctis for salvaging. However 1 of my guys is still like 6days from the hull and about 56days away from t2 autocannon guns. So what would be a good lv4 ship along side a machariel? I can't use any tech 3 ships and kinda limited to gallente ships. I already have a navy mega, a deimos and an ishtar(drone nerf?). What do you guys think?

Yes, Roden is one of the better choices. There are others.

It gives anti caldari and anti amar missions. But standing hit for rat kill has been removed. Thus, unless it's lowsec, you have no real reason to turn down missions. Roden agent in Scheenins give lowsec missions across constellation once in a while, but not often. The agent locations for Roden are not the quietest systems, you can expect occasional gankers.

There are other Gallante corps with lvl4 security agents in quiet 0.5 sec systems not near lowsec, such as Garoun Investment Bank.

Faction navies start to shoot you at -5 or lower. Agent access of lvl2 and up gets cut off at -2 or lower. Since rat kill standing hit was removed, you can avoid any faction hit by not doing storylines or turning down missions.

You don't need t2 ac for Mach. You'll be using t1 ammo due to lack of t2's dmg type selection anyway. 6 days for hull is short, anything will do meanwhile, don't buy anything expensive just for 6 days.

1. Find a hub that has at least two level 4 agents close by. Decline any missions where you need to fight the opposing faction - that's why you need two agents, just in case you get two faction missions close together.

2. I strongly urge you to research LP rewards, as the monetary gain difference can be huge. Roden Shipyards isn't a stellar option.

3. Just because you can fly something doesn't mean you should. Use a maelstrom or a navy tempest for now, it'll hurt less if you'll lose it while getting used to missions.

No patchnote. Stealth change.

The only devpost says it's a bug. It's been a while and nothing has been changed. If you google it, you'll only get player comments on it in the forums.

It's a fine choice. Nothing's perfect, as always.

nobody will tell you their 'trade secrets' as to where to run missions and how to convert LP, because technically you are our competitor. you'll have to do the leg work yourself.

I should buy an Ishtar.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
