EVE General Discussion

My friend got me to try eve so i made a character and joined his guild. 1st thing that happens is i die wtf. I dont no wut happned but they all laughing i think they killed me. its okay i didnt take xp loss so wutever. I spawn in the graveyard and my video card starts freaking out so i turn into a ship and undock.

They said they would teach me and buy me loot to help level up. But then made up BS about needing to be self-sufficient. I needed some gold to buy a vehicle from the auction house but no one would give me any.
I get told to grind mobs at the mineral veins. But the mobs are too far away! and when i go towards them they kite me forever until im dead. no1 will help they don't take me srsly.

Ive played MMOs for yrs now and this is the least fun "game" ive seen. but im pro so i keep playin after they goto bed.
I spent hours trying to find someone to talk to in the constellation region, but no one ever responded. WTF IS EVERYONE?!? sum guildies help me out and tell me togo questing. They say once im exalted with the faction that my person will be able to walk around more of the cities (wtf cant i explore stuff now?).

so i do sum quests but it wont let me complete a delivery. they gave an item to me it never showed up in my bag. For hrs i try to find it but i cant. I even made a bug report but no response, go figure. I abandon the quest and it says its going to punish me! WTF! At least im still able to grind the guys who look like red + and sum1 gives me gold.

But i want to be useful so they tell me to train the cynosauron skill and i can summon doods. some1 even gives me a bird ship w/ the cynosaruon item, but once im outside it wont work! I get in a party and they take me to an orange 4 region and it works but i cant move. it wont let me summon any1 either! and then im in the graveyard again wtf.

Im getting real tired of the stupid people in this game at this point but thats not all. They say their going to run sum instance and need a healer so i volunteer. I could use some xp and loot afterall. They said i dont have enough mana to heal all the guild tho. this game is stupid i have to wait for months to have fun?? why cant i explore the cities? whenever i shoot something i get killed too. I kill lots of things but my health doesnt go up. Im hardcore but no1 wants new players in eve it seems

I enjoyed OP's post. Even Liked it. Sounds to me like a NPE with wow terms and I got to say it was spot on.

My fav parts.

1: Using a Cyno to spawn things
2: Why the hell is Constellation Channel open for every new player? Does anyone ever use that? (IMO this is what should replace local)
