The Venture as it is

My hopes is that CCP does not change the Venture, as a test I purposely did not fit a cloak and visited NULL space, and as I figured I was being hunted from the point I jumped in till I got the heck outBig smile.

Warp bubbles at the gate kept me from warping off luckily a tornado was gate camping and others were to far off to tackle.

Upon visiting an outpost and being denied docking (no surprise) another tornado start after me, again I use my frigate size to my advantage and warped away...to my surprise upon about 15 sec that tornado was on my posterior maximus again I aligned and warped away.

I warped to a station ruins only to have rats now after me.

Warp off to a place off axis with the gate (so as not to be dragged into it).

Again the gate was bubbled all over it luckily the drag only put me off 45km from the gate and I microwarped over whilst be shot at by the same tornado, got way but ONLY cause of the following;

The speed and agility of the fitting.

Second, no tacklers were on post.

Third, some skill and tactics.

NO NERF TO THE VENTURE, it is working just fine as is.

Ventures need to make wreck when they pop still, right now they make a can and deprive you of your rightful salvage.

Humm, never knew that, that's cool, salvage should be there if you get boom boomed.

Since my test I am convinced it is an great ship for WH excursions although fitting a cloak will gimp it with a single gas harvester or mining laser.Blink

For your next trick you will find out that frigates can move faster than an arty tornado can track, so orbit him at very close range and kill him. It never fails to get tears from the tornado pilot dying to a frigate. Just don't burn straight at him rather approach diagonally.

The Venture is like a pocket mufli-tool (Gerber or Leatherman), while it isn't the perfect tool for the job it can be a handy overall tool when you don't want to carry around a tool box.

I did my first level 1 missions in a mining Bantam with one Hobgoblin I drone.

I knocked around in a Venture, and was amazed at how sturdy it was in comparison. It also has twice as many drones.

If only I had the Venture back in the day. Quite impressive.

One miner, one probe launcher, one cloak. It is W.

Sure, but if you go into a WH you'll want a probe launcher and cloak fitted cause if the hole you came in closes your gonna have fun running away from PVP'ers in that WH.

1. 1st rule in a WH bring a probe launcher with xtra probes.
2. If you can't hide to probe yourself out then 1st rule is probably not gonna help.

Respect.
That's flying like it should be done.

Edit:
Wish I'd been the first to say it, but the Venture makes a handy-dandy T1 Intercepter.

tbh only change to the venture, if any, it would be another utility hislot and 5 or 10 more base cpu, buuut that would probably make it too good, so it better stay as it is.

No, let's nerf the venture so hi sec miners have no reason to risk entering lo/null again, then null bears can copy paste their complaints about care ears again, having to think and type new complaints is causing all sorts of RSI issues.

The Venture, teaching carebears risk/reward since 2012....
