Definite static?

I'm currently solo living in C2 space. Wormnav and staticmapper indicates that there is a HS static. The problem is it doesn't appear to be a static. I have used HS holes various times in this C2 but sometimes one doesn't exist.

For reference.. I use the DSP guide with my sensor strength and wormhole selected and see that in a C2 the signature for HS should be .19%. Using a deep probe I turn up multiple .19 and some .18. I scan these all down sometimes and not a single one is a HS hole (sometimes it is though).

Any ideas?

Thanks

If its a C2 and wormnav says it has a HS static it will have one at all times, and it will have a static to another WH at all times also. There location will change after a period of time and they can be closed due to too many ship jumps but you will always have both a HS and another WH in a C2.

I would suggest scanning down all the signatures in your hole.... you will find the static.

DSP guide and other such signature strength tools i find are more of a guide line then a hard and fast rule that can be strictly followed.

The two statics are most definitely there. Just keep scanning.

Check under the bed. It's there somewhere.

Fly a shuttle to the sun and sacrifice it to Bob, he may then grace you with one of his glorious holes.

Thanks, persistent scanning solved the issue. Getting more and more used to a space mechanics.

Amazed you posted in here before scanning down all the sigs to find the wormhole you wanted..

The DSP guide you;re using is most certainly not complete.

If you're using the one I think you are. I know for a fact it is extremely incomplete even outside of wormholes. Use it as a guide. But not the rule.
