The reason why I am asking it is because they site (http://www.eonmagazine.co.uk/) did not list the E-ON #30 to buy, and the subscription option do not exist anymore.
I try search the site for a new subscription plan, and discover that there are none.
It a nice magazine and I really like to continuous receive a piece of printed eve stuffs to read and show to my friends.

So, is it true? Or they just need more time to put the store updated, like the evestore needs.

Beyond a Dev comment stating the store may re-open sometime in February, CCP has been silent on anything related to the EON Store.

Honestly, I find the whole thing really strange as you do.

EDIT: Reminds me of Hilmar's statement from over 18 months ago that the Support and Petition system and process was indeed horrible and will be getting an update and fix. Erm..................................

With these forums, CCP social media (facebook, twitter, etc) countless player blogs, alliance/corp out of game forums and popular 'news' websites like Mittani and EN24, there is little that EON can report on that hasnt already been reported.

Basically, what reason do i have to buy EON when everything they print i already know about

I was just about to say something similar. By the time you got the magazine the information is usually dated and you had already found it else where.

Most printed magazines now serve as binding chronicle and archive more than presenting current information.

Which is fine.

Also, do not forget the value from the Collector standpoint.

Yeah, I agree that the magazine usually do not have something really new, but I share the same vision of Krixtal Icefluxor. After all, and as I said before, the printed stuffs are always good to show to someone.
I leave my EON at my work desk, and almost everyone how came to my office ask about what it is, and look some pages. The visual of eve is very impressive, at least. I believe in the value of it, and I will be very sad if the printed magazine gets discontinued. I really hope not, but who knows.

Well, someone at CCP should know.. Give some light to us CCP, please.

bump !

I know that it is not really CCP's business anymore since the EON Magazine has been outsourced to their one webstore.
But a statement to the future of the printed-edition either from CCP or MMM Publishing would be really nice. Especially since issue #30 is available for weeks as digital-edition and it seems that the printed-edition has not jet been printed and is not available for sale. What does this mean for running subscriptions of the printed-edition?

Im suprised Eon has hang on this long. I dont know anyone that would recomend subscribing that.. And knowing the speed changes comes to game now days, by time its gets out of press, its old news...

Maybe they could convert to digital only, much faster to make and publish, not to mention cheaper distribution...

This exactly. Every time I come back to EVE I fill my EON collection with the backissues I missed, never to be read, at least not until EVE is a distant memory.

There was a thread not long ago about printing being suspended on account of lack of demand. Probably due to:

Extremely high price
Old information
Extremely high price
Availability of said information through other sources
Extremely high price
Just how small the magazines are

Did I mention they are expensive?

If the price was reduced to a reasonable level and made a digital download, I'd probably subscribe. But at this point it's just too expensive for the content.
