CCP: Sell more Fanfest Tickets

@ CCP Eterne , as some of the sharper edges who play Eve have pointed out in this thread, you may not have a lot of choices.

Except maybe this, ensure great streaming coverage of the quality you had for the Alliance games or the Eve $10K Tourney. Though I did not actually watch the last one, I assume it was well done.

Opinions on providers are welcome. Link the sites so the Dev's and CCP can shop.


Oh and BTW, James Amril-Kesh for the next CSM . . . :P


Edit: OR , having a second Weekend, like the following weekend, and duplicate some Events and others unique to that particular time. (I.E.: the Symphonic Concert )

Maybe issue 500 more, but require proof of plane ticket/hotel purchase prior to the date the first 5000 sold out.

Or maybe those who bought lodging and airfare before confirming they had a seat at Fanfest should suck it up, because they really have nobody but themselves to blame for their poor planning.

Its not that easy, trust me. I used to be member of small non-profit organisation that used to have once a year big event... Just few hundred people... Even thats planning, reserving location, etc.. Had to started right after we completed previous one... thats 10 -12 months beofre the event... And bigger the event, more difficult it gets to find suitable location for such...

5k - 10k people, thats would be tought even in my country, not too many places you can choose that can actually hold it... I can name 2 or 3 out of my head, but theyre all in different cities...

I would have probably come to fanfest this year otherwise, but IRL events pretty much eat all cash reserve and then some... and im not willing to swing my credit dept bigger just to get to iceland :P Maybe next year.... Who knows, next big thing is either EvEonline 15 or 20 years ;)

Maybe CCP should start planning on selling family tickets soon(tm), after all some people have kids, etc...

Have fun people, have a great stories to tell afterwards..

What I don't understand about this is that If say it was a Justin Bieber concert (He's popular right?) you would be mad to book Flights,food and sleep before you got the concert ticket! MAD!!!!

The fanfest ticket was ALWAYS going to be the most scarce part of the equation and you should have known that.

If you've never tried PvP in EvE it's quite possible you've missed out on one of the greatest rushes available in modern gaming.

How long before we see posts like "RL cropped up, can't go, selling tickets for cash"

Of course, no mention that the seller bought the ticket with plexes purchased tickets with 10 or 12 plexes from their ingame wallet.

Can't see any tickets selling on EBAY, yet.

CCP does a lot of things well, but we all know advance warning/communication is their weak spot. However, coming up with solutions to problems is a strength, so I have faith they'll figure something out :) We shall see in the coming days.
