Eve telling me I have to train a skill, thats already been trained...

So I've just undocked ready to do some missioning, but when I try and launch my Hammerhead II's it comes up with a message saying that I need to learn Scout Drone Operation V, which I already have at level 5. I go on pre-requisites and I have all green ticks. What gives?

Edit: Scratch that, I've just tried logging out and logging back in and my Scout Drone Operation has gone down to Level 4 and is going to take me another 2 days to get it back up to level 5! Even though it already was that! I got podded earlier but I know for a fact that my clone was up to date.

How many times did you get podded?

If the answer is 2 times, you might have forgotten to upgrade your clone again after the first time you got podded.

If you are 1000% sure your clone was up to date during the event of the last time you got podded...contact CCP through a petition and explain it. They might look into the logs and if it's true they likely reimburse you in one way or another.

Looks like you got podded 3 times over the last 3 days, you might have forgotten to upgrade your clone at some point and lost those skillpoints that way.

Check your mail. Whenever you lose a skill as a result of podding it will tell you which one in the notification about a clone being turned on.

Skill point loss really only happens if you get podded and the clone doesn't quite cover the last few points. I've never heard reports of skill point loss from bugs on CCP's side, the game's character database is solid.

If you have a clone that covers, say, 9 million points, and you have 8.8 million skill points trained, and you start training a high level skill, your Character Info window will show and stay frozen at 8.8 million skillpoints until that skill completes training. Even though in reality the server keeps track of it and you may be at 9.1 million because you're part-way through that skill.

If that's the case, and you get podded, you will lose some points. Because you're really at 9.1 million, not at 8.8 million, and the clone doesn't cover the last 0.1 million.

It's a good idea to have a medical clone that's a few million more than your points. Don't wait until the last second to upgrade the clone to the next higher one.

Otherwise, always set your medical to a station that has medical services. As soon as you wake up from dying, re-purchase the clone before you even think about replacement ships or undocking in anything.
