What are you going to spend your 6+ mil SP on?

You only get skill points in your allocation pool if you have the Destroyers / Battlecruisers skill, but nothing in the Frigates / Cruiser skills. Otherwise we'll just duplicate the skills, you don't get to spend anything.


From the blog:

  • Removal and refund of all Destroyers and Battlecruisers skill books at the NPC order price.
  • Partial skill training will be properly be saved and duplicated. If you are halfway between Destroyers 3 and 4 when the change hits, your progress will be properly copied to all the racial Destroyer skills you are eligible for.
  • If, for some odd reason, you have Destroyers and/or Battlecruisers skills, but have no Racial Frigate/Cruiser 3 at all, then the skill points will be moved in the free allocation pool when the old skills are removed.
  • Skill queues having Destroyer and/or Battlecruiser in-training will be paused at the time of the change. If you expect to be away for a long time when the reimbursement hits, please make sure you don’t train either of these skills.

Which would, I feel compelled to add, amount to at most 2,048,000 skillpoints.

If you want free skill points then:

And I think that means you just get up to the ~2.1 million skill points refunded from the old Destroyer and Battlecruisers skills.

edit: Beaten to the punch. Also, misread Evemon columns, 2.1 million skill points is correct.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

it wasn't complicated the first time, if people are too stupid to understand simple english why waste your time with them?

It's not that it's "Harder to grasp" it's that some people hear what they want to hear. He read "You get racial 5 Destroyer, and racial 5 Battlecruiser" Thought, "I don't need those things, CCP must be giving me free experience!".

Am I missing something? I am able to fly a command ship right now, but I do not have the warfare skills to 5. Under the "if you could fly it before...." rule, does that mean I will be given the appropriate skills points to raise those warfare skills to 5? I would like to know so I can plan accordingly.

Perhaps the use of the word reimbursement in the devblog wasnt ideal ... perhaps change the heading for. What this means for YOU directly!
