Moving forward with WiS

As an idea related to what is quite possibly the least popular thing in this game, I'd like to suggest that you let us open the door, if only to meet other players docked in the same station. What would be the purpose?

There are some things that as of yet cannot be shared easily, like overview settings. I'd like to be able to go to a corpie's CQ and give them bookmarks and overview settings and stuff that I might want to share on a limited basis. I'd also like to be able to do the stuff I already can, like trading items and transferring ISK.

This way, CCP can work on WiS in a very small and discreet way, allowing two avatars to share the same space and interact in a limited fashion with very little added game mechanic to complicate things.

This dovetails with my idea of habitation modules at a POS. I'd love to have a few friends over at my space penthouse while we plan our next roam, or whatever.

make a conference room so that us elite corp and alliance leaders can sit around a big space table while our leader talks to us via holovid screen and we all talk in faux-british accents about alliance affairs

None. Everything you cited as a reason can be done quicker and easier from the trade window, or using normal inventory functions with a hanger.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

-We should have communal places in station where we can all sit around and make catcalls and wolfwhistles at all the female toons, who of course more than likely are 40 year old men.
-Also need dark places in station for us users of illegal substances to expand our minds.
-NPC prostitutes...ones that you can beat up and get your money back...we need those too.
-In the center of every station should be a pit with saws and jagged stuff at the bottom, so you are forced to jump in to biomass.
-A window in one of communal places that allows you to see outside station at all the undock campers..that would be cool too, but im sure would be horribly hilariously abused.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Your ideas are newer and even more exciting.

Ive been involved in some RP in this game, and one thing I noted is that when the role players interact they generate content that leads to spaceships exploding. This leads me to think that any change to the game that increases player interaction, such as public spaces in stations, would lead to more player generated content and more ships exploding.

I think once CCP hires some programmers that can code for more than one person in a room without frying your graphics card, we'll see some progression with WIS.

Look at the thread linked in my signature. There are compelling reasons for WiS being given the same treatment as Dust 514; rather than doing a half-baked job like "open the door, if only to meet other players docked in the same station".

I'm perfectly ok with that door opening, so long as it opens up to outside the station.

By the way - in Kickstarter project devs of Vendetta Online promise to add WiS to their game for $100k and add planetary descents for $100k more.

Giving WIS the same treatment as DUST, will take resources away from DUST back to EvE.
Surely ,we don,t want that ,do we?
