... you probably aren't reading this because you are DEAD. Shocked

Shoot first, apologize after.

Holy hell. Shocked

They even got the model of truck wrong. The search is for a blue Nissan. That is a Toyota, not a Nissan.

Before long, LAPD will just shoot at anything that is a truck... or anything blue. Just to be safe.

Article talked more about the guy they were looking for instead of the fact THE COPS SHOT TWO RANDOM PEOPLE.

The midsize 2007 Toyota Tacoma does not look anything like the fullsize Nissan Titan. This is why I can get good used parts...bullet holes.

OMG the truck they are looking for isn't even blue. They got the color and the model wrong. The truck is grey.

Wait.

My truck is grey. Shocked

Please take care of my skill queue if I'm killed!

I count about 53 bullet holes, not including the shot out tires. What dummies.

Maybe part of this guys "unconventional and asymmetrical warfare" was somehow convincing them he was in this truck as a decoy. They seemed pretty convinced.

Oh wait, wrong make than what they were looking for. Forget everything i've said...

I counted something like 37 myself but it sounds like only 2 shots actually landed. Somebody needs to hit the range again with that shoddy craftsmanship.

There's some tight clusters there, but i'm no forensics expert. Bad aim for sure, though. If it was just the two officers in the one squad car shown that means there was reloading, too, while the two women would have been screaming in confusion and terror, then back to shooting at them thinking it's the guy they're after. Roll

Here's an interesting question that may derail the thread, but if this happened in an area where people could openly carry or carry concealed firearms, and you had one on you, do you just let yourself be blown away if the police suddenly start shooting at you for no reason?

Maybe they were shooting with their feet while doing a handstand on a speeding bike... you ever think of that? Straight

We had 2 similar cases where I live about 10 years ago that became very heated, and they were very close together. The first happened in downtown where 2 officers opened up on one guy and while he was hit 14 times they expended a total of 74 rounds. Think of how many reloads that required. This was on a Friday night by the nightclubs so you can understand how upset people where with this.

The second event happened only a month later with a domestic abuse call on a man up north. The officers went to his house and he came out with a pistol. The officers fired 36 rounds and hit him 8 times, he fired twice and wounded each cop.

Due to both of these it was suggested that all law enforcement spend more time at the range and they opened up a program where people could make donations for extra ammo.

For a couple of years we had a joke about our cops up here. At the time we had one of the nations best snipers, now if only we could teach all the other officers to aim.

I get the feeling they scare the living **** out of police trainees now. Just focusing on how every car you pull over could be the person who kills you or whatever, so when they hit the streets they're a jumble of nerves. Need a cool head to shoot straight.

Just found the 'manifesto' of the guy they're after on another site. It's, interesting, to say the least.

You might think that the complex stemmed from some real event though, or maybe you wouldn't. Regardless, it probably does, and plenty of them; following which the individual goes through life expecting everyone to judge them harshly. Strange. Lol

OK for ONCE tabloid news is something relevant and good.

the cops allege the truck was driving down the street with its headlights off. before dawn, which in hindsight makes sense because that's when newspapers are delivered. if that's true: wrong place wrong time to look shady.

it was near one of the highest concern security patrols among the police protection addresses. this was not a random truck in the greater los angeles area--it was on or near the street of the residence of one of the more prominent targets of the suspect's.

also, the real suspect changed license plates and could've been in the blue truck.

wrong place, wrong time to be driving a truck with headlights off.

wrong place, wrong time to be paul blart

ROE in Iraq and Afghanistan was -always- "fire only when fired upon." as a Soldier on the ground, the decision is, "does this look threatening enough to go to prison if I'm wrong"

did it on the regular. wouldn't do it again, but i'm glad i did.

pickup traveling -away- from me? my opinion: putting holes through the tailgate and rear windows was probably a bad decision.

one more picture, cuz I made this look güüüüd

relevant info: homeland security adds military veterans to terrorist watch lists...

Quote:
the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks

Quote:
Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right-wing extremists, ... DHS/I&A is concerned that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to boost their violent capacities

simply stated: military veterans possess the skills to make effective terrorists. kinda obvious. kinda true. "asymmetrical warfare" and the OODA loop? this is just -one guy-
