CCP is better off leaving the monopoly in place because it enables fewer players to provide a steady supply of Isk to be converted to plex-ETC-real cash.

In a sense players that pay real cash also subsidize both Null Sec players that dont pay but control the isk printing machine and pay CCP by playing cash for ETC.

It is also entirely within the realm of possibility that big time players who are involved have an agreement with CCP in providing such services.
