a mod that transports you to a ramdom place in the universe.

How about a mod that, once activated, transports the ship to another location in the eve universe, this could be anywhere in known space.
1min spool. 10min cool down.
Landing 0-100k from a gate in the destination system...
Cannot be fitted to jump capable ships.

it might get you out of the pot, but you could end up in a frying pan.

Just a thought...

Hmmm.. on a related note, I did a mining mission where there was some sort of singularity thing in the middle of a destroyed station. Mousing over it to get info, it said that no one would approach it because it would send you to who-knows-where.

Of course, when i approached it nothing happened.

Maybe not a module like that, but some sort of singularity that would do something like that or deadspace object/ plex. It would give "lost in space" a whole new meaning.

Only if it's blue and bigger on the inside!


but srsly, it should spawn you at gates, between 50k and 100k. There's rarely going to be any danger at the sun, but the gates, now a random gate could be dangerous.

So give every single ship an uncontrollable jump drive that hurls itself several light years from its position to a random stargate that somehow was selected by a slot machine attached to the module.... randomly...

freighters don't have mod slots.
I said 'known space'.
I said 'within 0-100km from a gate'.

not hard to extrapolate that WHs would be excluded...

Someone needs to get a bit more acquainted with HHG.

I fully endorse the scenario outlined in Unsuccessful At Everything's post. EVE is clearly suffering from a dire lack of yarn.
