Yeah that's what I thought.

Yeah thats a good idea. Then we can switch with the CFC. One Month we hold Neo and they Tech and the next month the other way around. Brings some diversion.

just convo random people looking for a corp, offer to sponsor them into goonswarm, and charge the standard 500m deposit

you'd think it wouldn't work because you're not in goonswarm but you severely overestimate the intelligence of eve players

CCP (actually Soundwave) made comments quite a few months ago about altering the moon goo faucet to an active scanning/harvesting mechanic. I believe that comment was meant to calm the chorus of voices protesting this broken game mechanic. By saying "we are looking into it", is a standard political ploy.

However, given the fact that we have heard virtually nothing about this since then from CCP, and the CSM notes made no mention of it, you can rest assured it won't be changing. Looking at this in the most charitable way, the major power blocs have convinced CCP that it is in the best interests of the game to let the power blocs maintain a stranglehold on the most valuable resources.

Why CCP believes them is a very interesting question.

Who cares? Oh my god, one group holds a lot of isk. how does that really impact you? For myself, I still make ample profit of te invention and manufacturing of t2 mods. Sure my mods use moon goo to make. I buy the stuff I need in jita, and even undercutting the lowest pric on the market, I make a good profit. I can pew, lose ships, and still stash isk for a rainy day.

So really, where are the moon goo monopolies hurting you?

Also, what makes you think that if the monopolies were dispersed, you woukd profit next? The same groups, along with the other high sec industrialist would take over and not some lone individual. If your path to profitability requires control of a tech moon, you are doing it wrong.

And why no hatred of t3 wormhole monopolies. Those too are controlled by large groups, yet you aren't arguing to nerf them. Fave it, this just a bandwagon you are jumping on. Why not spend as much effort researching alternative ways to make isk. With just as much effort, you'll find plenty of isk and not have to worry about moon goo.

Say, have the moon goo mechanics ever changed since their inception? I only remember goo being shuffled around and alchemy added but nothing done to the moon harvesting itself.

The fact that CCP hasn't changed it after many years of complaint can only mean one thing: They want it this way. I can see why. It facilitates the big fights, the big ships and promotes the ingame RMT trade......as well as the out of game RMT trade but, noone really talks about that. And I dare say that the majority of CCP's RMT income comes from people in null. So then, why would CCP change it?

rmt is funded by bots and 4 of every 5 bots is in empire

that's a cold hard fact straight from CCP, the forge alone has more bots than all of 0.0 put together

The solution is simple, anyone can do it.

All you have to do is create a really successful corp, lead so well that people will follow you to the gates of hell, create an alliance, fill it with strong corporations, build a capital fleet to support your already strong subcap fleets, bring in corporations that are willing to risk supercapitals on the field to realize your vision. Invade nullsec using your superior tactics, power projection and logistics capability.
Put trust in dozens of leaders loyal to you, give them the tools and the support necessary to keep control of an empire. Help your people rise to power, help them with srf's brought with the blood and sweat of their comrades, paid for with long hours of logistics pilots who do little else but look after pos's, the proceeds of which go straight to the pilots losing their ships for you on the frontline,
Spend tens of billions of isk on your initial setup costs once you have some sovereign space, spend weeks of game time in diplomacy with likeminded alliances and form a coalition. Make that coalition loyal and strike at any and all opposition to your empire, crushing attack after attack after attack. Keep your people satisfied with content and a community to have fun in. Keep those people loyal through the good and the bad times, mark your place in Eves history.

It all starts with just YOU.

If you havn't put the monumental amount of time, effort and heartache into creating something great in Eve, then you have absolutely zero right to suggest CCP do anything to take it away from the people who have.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

T2 materials should be spread around the moons of eve online in the same way PI goods are:

high sec barely profitable
low sec not bad
null sec excellent

nothing much changes but there is a lot more opportunity for combat.

personally I would like to see it randomly move around in some sort of gas cloud to create varied focal points for combat throughout the galaxy.

Why don't you reinforce their pos, then hide when they come to fix it.
Then do it again and again and again and again so it's not profitable.
Then when they start showing up to defend it every time it gets shot at, start turning up, firing a few shots, then hiding.
Then randomly reinforce it when they don't show up to fix it?
I'm pretty sure after a while they'll either just let you have it or offer to pay you x per month to not do what you're doing.
I'd much rather have isk sent to me each month than have to deal with a pos and selling goo.

Bots do not equal RMT
