No idea, but i find that wiki very interesting indeed. Particularly the 'mental binds' thing.

I'm not saying aliens.

val-k (not silent like in English)-noot.

What on Earth is to ponder ? It's obvious. Roll

That's what I originally thought, but never found a clear answer google searching, so I figured some Icelandic people would know.

Google translator detected it as Swedish and the lady robot voice pronounced it the same way Krixtal stated. I'm guessing you want to pronounce it right to your tattoo artist?

Inevitable.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Valknut is nordic and the danish version is Valknude (Knude is the danish word for knot).

One of the major difference between the nordic and the english words for Knot is that we pronounce the K.

Valknude will be pronounced something like: Vaal'Knoode
The D is soft and you generally extend the last part of the word: Knuuuude

Valknut starts simelar but the ending is different. -ut will pronounce like -oot in foot, but with a hard T and the U will be short. So the word will be pronounced: Vaal'Knoot.

Edit: Why do you need to know how to prounce that word?
