My Noctis keeps getting stuck on acceleration gates. Was absorbed pewpewing and didn't notice my alt stuck "warping" for 5 minutes.

Do you know how annoying it is to maneuver a cargo expanded Noctis on an alt with no navigation skills after realizing it should have landed on grid ages ago?

Joking aside, fixing the collision box on acceleration gates would be nice. Anyone else run into this?

Excuse me, but what the f*ck are you desu?

Not with a Noctis, but I've run into it before. Haven't in a long time, though. I got used to dealing with it. Train some nav skills, fit the noctis better, and warp to 10 km on the first gate so you don't get tangled on it.

Collision boxes need fixing on a lot of things, but this is quite avoidable. You just need to think it through.

Try manually moving the noctis just above the gate, that part of the collision box is far more forgiving than the sides and bottom.

P.S. I once had a friend between me and a acc gate and the gate read 0km but i was 350 meters from my friend. Fun times.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

This problem has been around sooooo long, move up a fair distance then warp.

You think that's bad, you should see what happens when you warp a tanked Orca to a stargate and it bounces off and you have to spend the next ten minutes decelerating, turning around, and crawling back to the gate.

Wouldn't warping to a close-by celestial and then back to the gate for a second attempt be faster? I wouldn't know, never flown an Orca.

This tbh. CCP fixed this problem aaaages ago, and now if you get stuck on a gate it's your own damn fault. It used to be a lot worse: you had to be pretty much touching the gate to activate it, so it was a huuuge pain to have to reposition yourself every time. Now you lose at most 10 seconds having to move before you hit the activate gate button.

if you put cargo rigs on there it doesnt really need cargo expanders, fitting nanofibers, make it easier to manouver

Salvaging is too slow without salvaging tackle. With salvaging tackle you can use as little as two salvagers and 6 tractors, speeding up room clearing substantially. In comparison to fitting nanos the gain from the salvage tackle is substantially better. Shouldn't need any more than what the Noctis has unmodified anyway, leave the boosters they take up too much space and are of limited value.

Edit: Though I currently use 3 salvagers as I only use T1 salvs, I don't have the skills for T2. L5 is a long train that I really didn't want to do, I preferred to go for ORE indy 5 and extend my reach to 80km.
