No long than 10 minutes ago I was logged on Eve on my main and alt clients. My alt client froze up and I closed it since everything was literally unresponsive. I attempted to reopen the client and the login screen wouldn't load. I thought ok this is odd no big deal I will just restart and try again.

Now when I open the Eve client the login screen doesn't appear at all just a black screen. Eve client says it is using ~95% of my CPU and my computer becomes insanely laggy and nearly unresponsive (about 5-10 seconds of lag attempting to open activity monitor to kill Eve so I can use my computer again).

So WTF is going on. How does it go from working perfectly fine to not working at all? Anyone else having this problem?

These may as well be farts in the wind but I have had a few beers since the start of this thread.

It is possible that the clients settings files became corrupted due to the crash and are now causing this trouble. You can clear those settings via the launcher settings (tools button in the uppper right corner) in the "EVE Client Settings" tab.

If you want to make a backup of the client settings, or delete them manually, please refer to the following article on the EVElopedia as to where those can be found:

Thanks for the response Karidor...after many hours playing around messing with files, deleting restoring ect ect ect I finally gave up and redownloaded Eve. Took a while but everything is back to normal. Thanks again.
