I quite agree. Perhaps I should have said "how serious he is about his possible CSM seat." Unlike a lot of "casual" players, I take the CSM seriously because I see real value in it. No insults meant here, I am just as serious about a James vote.

Honestly it can be quite difficult to tell - Kelduum Revaan, for example, seemed fairly serious about the CSM last year but has apparently hardly paid the slightest attention this year. I think that James will certainly be serious about the campaign - after all, if he can get onto the CSM it will be a source of endless tears from the carebears, even if he does nothing else - but it is harder to tell what he'd want as a member of the CSM.

On the other hand, if there's one thing that we can be sure of it is that he will fight the carebear creep, and personally, that's enough to get my vote.

Much as I enjoy "tears", they are hardly a reason to vote someone into an advisory position.

Hard to argue with that, and he's been playing EVE for quite some time... Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

Not only has be been playing a long time, James has also played in different areas of the game. He has a solid grasp on how high, low and nullsec are interdependant on each other, and can give CCP sound advice on proposed highsec changes.

Yeah, he's been playing a long time.

He's also quit four times.

That's dedication for ya.

I took a couple of months off from playing EVE when my child was born, what's the significance of James taking a break? Real life happens, you certainly can't fault a CSM candidate for having one. If anything, focus on his platform and what he represents rather than stupid arguments like this.

Wow, if he's lost EVE so much, I can't help but admire his ability to stick with the game.

I myself have not such an impressive record in losing eve.

Here's a song that sums it up quite accurately

I think this song is even better for this crazy thread

315 get over yourself

As the closest thing to the CSM "high sec" candidate, I wish these "emergent game play" losers would just get over themselves.

Good news J315, I did post in your "please pay attention to me" CSM thread so maybe you can declare victory. Just don't expect that small victory to have you eating a nonni's on CCP's isks.

Edit: Even Kelduum is more of a highsec candidate than you are. The only group you could possibly claim to represent is the AFK miners, and then only representation in the loosest sense of the word.

Also, two things;

a) This isn't James' thread. It's about him. If you go back to the first page, you can see that the OP is actually one Agent Eunoli.

b) I'm not sure why you think that your posting here is in any way relevant to anyone? After all, you've pretty much avoided any CSM duty thus far; surely that makes you no more important than as any other forum poster?

Hahahaahaa. What? Are you not one of the, if not THE most useless CSM member we have ever had? You may be the closest thing to a "AFK botter" candidate though, as you have been, you know, not there.

James can do infinitely better job in representing the honest people living and working in highsec than you. By the way, those people include the "emergent game play losers".

Issler = tabbed out representative

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

ROFL, you are quite possibly the most absent/useless member of the current CSM, you don't appear to have done anything since your election (not a personal slight, 99% of politics is inaction and lies). If you were truly the closest thing to a high sec candidate you would realise that highsec isn't just carebears (I am one) but gankers, awoxers, scammers, PvPers and everything else that one can do in Eve. Mittens has done more for highsec than you, and regrettably he's not even on the CSM.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Oh God the irony, it burns.

Issler who? Oh my apologies, how could I not recognized the fabled alternate who managed to sneak into the CSM. 12th place is nothing to scoff at guys!!!

Nice to see you piggy-backing of the saviors thread for attention.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I point to this badposting by current CSM to point out just how bad things have gotten. The anti-sandbox, anti-emergent-gameplay, and I argue, anti-EVE players have been allowed to "represent" us? No wonder high sec is in decay, in its rotting corruption CSM bites the hand that feeds it, for it is emergent gameplay which gave birth to election and their player council positions. For shame.

I don't agree with Trebor, but I can see his side of the argument. Issler is another deal, there is no argument, simply contempt for player action. Oh saviour we need thee to deliver us from this evil!!!

James 3:15 can probably do a infinitely better job of writing speeches that is for sure. But what else does he offer?

But who knows, I am sure some players will come to his future CSM thread, for the baptism and to receive the salvation that only he has. I will go for the speeches and drama, but its fifty fifty if I learn something.
