I didn't really like Lyris at first, but at this point I'd gladly take her over this blustering fool.

That whole post was me getting fed up with the lunatics that think there's some giant conspiracy. There's not. But I assure you there are circumstances that supercapitals can be insured. Speak to me in private.

I like how GoonSwarm is always saying "There's no conspiracy. There's nothing going on behind the scenes." and then later we learn about the conspiracy/behind the scenes stuff.

No conspiracy? By most definitions a conspiracy is simply a plan that is secret. Yes there is some negative connotation involved usually, but unlawful acts vary from nation to nation, as does what is morally right or wrong so I have to assume we can entirely discount the negative connotation aspect. That leaves just plans in secret. So if there is no conspiracy then one has to wonder...why? Does that mean that this proposed Goonswarm Intelligence Agency operation will be totally transparent and divulge it's status and progress as it goes along? That hardly seems like a good idea for an intelligence operation so that can't be the case, right?

So what we are left with then is, since there is no conspiracy, then you are saying there is no plan at all. So you're trying to undermine Sansha's Nation, an entity that survived the combined brutality of a unified five-empire attack....and you want to do this with no plan. I've always heard that it takes a special sort of mindset to "be a Goon" but I wasn't aware that the mindset was delusional.

I was more referring to the Asakai fight. That just happened.

As for Nation, oh, I very much hope to conspire. I expect back room dealings in smoke filled rooms, bribes, extortion, blackmail and extreme violence. Yup, going to be a huge conspiracy.

Nation-loyal capsuleers making fools of themselves in public will continue to benefit this cause, however it would be nice to see people keeping their personal grudges to themselves in order for good threads like this to remain on topic.

Stop by my office sometime, Alizabeth. I'd find it interesting to learn more about what you're planning.

I really don't see what all the fuss is about. Hatred of that magnitude only lends more credence to the Sansha ideology of a unified, peaceful cluster. Regardless of the moral debate surrounding their methodology, you can't deny their ideology is just that.

Ah, but hatred, of all the emotions, is arguably the greatest evolutionary driver of mankind. It was hatred of the cold that made us clothe ourselves, not love of warmth. Love of food fed us, but hatred of hunger made us store our food through the winter. Hatred of the enemy gave us weapons more than love of our kin made us take said weapons up to protect them.

One two twenty four add some juice and make them sore or or or is it saw..

Did you mention explosives? yes definitely some special person of notificationalness said a thing about blowing blowing blowing well maybe yes it was.

I want to be part of the explosions to live in the fire and die of the fire, bullets each one with its own name Fred and Mark go first then its the girls twins you see never separate never never never guns loaded and silence of space, sounds in my head as the unseen becomes seen beautiful special never alone in space.

Violent explosions full of surprise and pain those make the best of us all all all but what does it all mean in the scale of one to eleventytwelve if you tell me I can keep a secret.

Who holds the secret secret who holds the secret on a special day day day or is it night, space has a way of changing things time and space time and space or is it space time dancing around the gate camp all night or is it day long..

I like explosions I do.

Figures I mention explosives and Quebber comes in. I'm going to be setting up some meetings in VFK, if you can take time away from destroying things and make those, I would appreciate it.

She was being sarcastic you twits.

GoonSwarm is one of the most successful organizations in the cluster, whether or not you approve of their methods or personally feel them to be competent. While they're prone to making outrageous statements, if they truly want to take action against Sansha I'm all for it, and you should be too.

The status quo won't last forever, and I'd rather not have half of Empire space vaporized in some surprise attack while the Goons tell everyone "Well, we offered to help, but they were too distracted by politics."

Many of you are being remarkably cavalier about the situation.

When it's proposed that the fight be taken to Sansha you say "We don't know their true strength, they could have entire fleets hidden away in system only they could get access to, they could strike anywhere at any time! There's just no way to stop them."

Now this woman is proposing that capsuleers make an effort to fill some of the gaps in our knowledge about the Sansha menace, and you laugh it off, as if Sansha posed no threat whatsoever.

You should be confined to an institution and your rights to the Summit revoked so the rest of us don't have to put up with your babble, but in the interest of free 'communication', go ahead. Let's all have a good laugh, bring up some more inconsequential battles between corporations in unpoliced space, poke fun at jumping titans and the like. This is obviously the perfect context for that.
