Future of the CSM

After watching CCP throw employees out the dirgible to save their anvil collection I am wondering what this means for the CSM.

For CCP:

Is CCP still committed to CSM in its current form? Will there be elections soon? Will CCP respond to concerns that the current method of elections will continue to allow big alliance dominance of the CSM? Basically given the new austerity that seems to have been put in place is the CSM still in your budgets and part of the future of Eve?

And for the players:

Have the players given up on the CSM?
Will we see more of the "little guy" participate and get representation in the future CSMs?
Do you want resources at CCP applied to the CSM?
Would you prefer a direct to the players feedback system?

Discuss,

If you live in highsec you shouldn't be allowed to vote anyway, in much the same way as we don't grant real-life voting rights to children.

Or not. Quote from the CEO of CCP regarding 'Mittens CSM':

"But some of my concerns right now relate to whether the CSM is maybe focused on a particular aspect of the game and I'm starting to get feedback from players that they worry the CSM is too pre-occupied by a certain playstyle. That might mean we may need to change the structure"

Its funny to realize while you think you are being witty you are just giving more evidence why changing the CSM structure as the CEO mentions is oh-so-needed. Thanks! Keep it up lol!

Do all HighSec characters not get what trolling is? And again I love how now that the CSM has actually gotten something done, its imbalanced towards NullSec and must henceforth be obliterated. God people, for once if your lives realize that Goons ganking morons in HighSec =/= Goons forever trying to destroy HighSec whilst on the CSM. There's not one shred of evidence to support that statement and you know it.

To the OP, I don't want a direct players feedback system for the sole reason that it'd be effectively useless. Think of all the horrible ideas that are spewed here constantly, how would CCP realistically wade through them all to find a few diamonds?

Answer: These forums. They're far from perfect but at least there's an ounce of structure.

CSM 6 is the most effective CSM in history. Removing them or messing with the election mechanics to keep them from being reelected would be bad for the game.

I actually totally agree with this. CSM6 was very good at forwarding their agenda. If folks doubt the ability to affect Eve all they have to do is look at CSM6.

If you weren't happy with CSM6 it really means you need to get involved in the CSM process and get someone to represent you elected!

No no no you see if you don't win an election you have to stamp your feet and demand that the process is unfair and that the victors need to be removed for some reason.
