I apologize to players for the rant, but... First I encounter bugs preventing me from completing a tutorial, then a bug which caused my main ship to be destroyed, then I get ganked in 1.0 security space with no Concord response. I play video games to escape bullshit, not have bullshit forced down my throat and then some. Of course I realize that this is what was intended, and some people enjoy the masochism, but IMO this is wasting enormous amounts of my time by getting me nowhere.

If youre that mad about all that...and it was more than likely IN THE TUTORIAL to get ganked, blown up in 1.0 space, etc, then Eve is not the game for you. I hear that most windows machines come with a game expecially suited to sensitive people like yourself where no one can get you...its called Solitare. Ps...if you get stuck..you just restart that game. Please dont petition Microsoft with an angry rumprage letter because that last 9 is stuck under an immovable stack.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

This is how I made it in EvE, quite simple actually. Please refer to this learning curve graph for reference.

http://syncaine.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/learningcurve.jpg

Step One: Climbing the cliff, this can be treacherous to a new player. Tutorials will help, ask questions in the rookie channel, people there can be very helpful.

Step Two: After climbing the cliff you will be mentally and physically exhausted only to be met buy a bunch of bullies. Soon as your head pops up they slap a noose around your neck and give you a boot to the face while yelling "THIS IS EVE", this will knock you off the cliff.

Step Three: Buy a Plex. Cash your plex and climb the cliff again, you will find it a bit easier this time.

Step Four: Step four consists of repeating step two and three somewhere between 2 and 50 times, depending on if a bully takes a shine to you.

Step Five: You made it up the cliff congratulations! You're not done yet, now comes the gauntlet. The gauntlet is much like this short clip from Apocalypto, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEQOIyfc2T0 people will be laughing at you, calling you noob and carebear, just ignore it. You will see your mates falling all around you, crying out in pain, try and help them but it may put you at risk so use your judgement. Buy a plex and cash it. Good luck here!

Step Six: Win and profit, welcome to EvE online!!!

Hope this helps.

My guesses as to why concord didn't respond someone came into where you was missioning can flipped you without you noticeing you then became flashie red to them and they shot you.... Or they came in stole from one of your wrecks became flashie red to you and not paying attention you believe the players ship is a npc ship and shoot at him giving him the right to blow you up without concord intervention .

The second scenario can be avoided easily by haveing you overview setup right and you can learn how to this on the eve uni wiki page theres also videos on youtube that show how to do it aswell.

If he was in one of the Career Agent Mission hubs, I'm pretty sure that can flipping him as bait is against the rules, as those systems are described as Newbie Systems (So is Arnon for that matter, as the SoE hub).
So assuming he's still around and didn't rage quit, a petition should be filed by the Op.

5. Ranting is prohibited
A rant is a long-winded, redundant post, often filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

20. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are not constructive, insulting or rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.

Thread locked. OP, I suggest you drop by the New Citizens Q&A subforum with an open mind, bringing questions or requests for help. There's a lot of people just waiting to help out.
