What are your system specs to run such a number of characters?
Any good tips to an aspiring large-scale multiboxer?

The best tip is to use and SSD drive.. Those are so fast on one of my computers when I was maxed at 16 accounts I was able to get up to 30 with just the SSD drive.
Also to cut down on lag on all the clients. Switch to Map view of the Solar system that saves allot and they run allot smother then.

So is 30 the most you got to run on a single PC?

One question: Why?

Why 100 miners? Most people have 4-6, why do you need soo much isk? What do you spend isk on? Is playing EVE enjoyable for you?

Becouse I want to see how far I can push it. Just how many accounts can I get to run on 1 computer and on my 6mb/1mb DSL connection and still be able to watch netflix.
Good job CCP.

So if the goal is to get all these miners running then watch netflix, what is the purpose of the miners? Clearly to farm isk, but what do you farm isk for?

To Pay for Plexs and ships I like to fly.
We all play our own way. That is the nice thing about this game. It is also fun to help out friends when they need help.

I do all that with 2 accounts, you just seem to be creating a ton of work for yourself and then trying to convince yourself you enjoy it.

About 45 min total. to get them all loged in and fleeted.. I have allot of what I do as hot keys on a Logitec game pad.
All computers are running synergy for the Keyboard and mouse so it is like multimonitors on one computer. Just move my mouse to the screen I want to control..

I do not stack the eve icons so I just go accross the tool bar to bring them all up on the screen. All laid out the same do what I need to one then use the WindowsKey down arrow I have mapped to game pad to minize that window and repeat.
Makes going though all the guys so much easier.

Not the best way for PVP but for Mining ice it is ever nice.

Well yes.. But that is only a dual core 1.6GHz with 8GB of Ram and a 2GB video card. If I use my main computer I can do more but I have my clients on there set for max graphics..

That's very impressive. I assume you were using the SSD as a pagefile?
How are framerates with that setup? What would you say is the biggest bottleneck after RAM: CPU, or GPU?

Why would it not be allowed. Look at what CCP makes. Plex's are not seeded in the game someone had to pay real money for them. So CCP makes about $20,000 a year off me alone. Why would they not allow that?

I dunno... yah I use PLEX too but you would think this would hurt the quality of the game itself, you know? If the golden goose gets sick it'll lay fewer eggs... that would be my thinking. I mean, I get your contribution to CCPs bottom line... but I'm thinking long term vs incidental does it make sense... that I don't know.

I wonder two things: (1) how many hours a month do you spend in-game running this fleet; and (2) how much did you spend training up 100 characters and fitting out 100 Hulks before this atrocity became self-sustaining?

EvE is supposed to suck.  Wait . . . what was the question?

The biggest bottleneck for this many clients is the hard drive. so SSD really helps. Then Ram then CPU.

I use for the mining computers SSD drive as the only drive. 90GB refurbish cost me $45.00 and is enough room for windows 7 and eve. But if you are not going to use it for the main drive I would put the eve client and the profiles and the page file on it..

Well retrivers also work well and you can get a toon in a retriver in about 1 to 2 weeks. So you can get up and running pretty fast.
Allot of thinks go to CCP with the latest updates now with 30 min to fill a Mack instead of 10 min. Just means more time to get more guys out there before I have to start unloading the guys.

Just some crazy numbers for you.. All guys combined now.

I have logged in a total of 54,331 I have played for a total of 21,585,668 min That is 41.07 years. And I have a total skill points of 1,399,803,943

Good work! I will check out the video when I am home and probably chat you up in game. Those that know me know I am crazy enough to multibox many accounts during PVP and C6 PVE. I certainly have a couple tips for you.

About 45 min total.

41 accounts...takes about 10 minutes. You are doing something wrong.
