The game's broken currently and this community (as you can already see) is literally worse than WoWs.

Just do what I'm doing and use this as a filler until Elder Scrolls comes out...better yet, wait a few days and let Company of Heroes 2 be the filler.

Your story reminds me of the time when I was a kid, and I played my uncle at checkers and lost. So, I played him again, and lost again. I was pissed, and it seemed like he had absolutely no mercy. After that, I never played checkers again. (I made that last part up.)

You walked into a Goomba and lost your flower power. So, you're just gonna quit?

Is this an indirect way to say that the OP was deflowered by the game?

Guess what! If he had asked in the SWA channel, we would have told him not to do whatever stupid thing it was that he did, although, for all we know, he's mad about losing an Ibis in the tutorial mission.

Jack Cullard, check the State War Academy channel. There's a bunch of us in there, and we know how to play EVE. (Mostly, but yeah, some of us are idiots, puppy kickers, 'n such.)

Agreed. CCP both allows and encourages wholesale blappage in 1.0 and everywhere else, except for the starter systems where new players enter the game. (Google them)

Also, there is a difference between "no CONCORD response" and "CONCORD responded after my ship was wrecked." One is a bug of some sort that you could petition, the other is fair play. Remember, Eve is a PvP game, if you are not actively trying to ruin somebody's day then you are doing it wrong. Big smile

Umm... what spaceship MMORPG are you playing? LOL.

Welcome to the wonderful world of gaming!

The game description "a theme partk" usually means linear game play that leads you by the nose. EvE is anything but that. NPC combat is somewhat linear, but in no way is that the main focus of the game... only a means to an end.

Most people say there are large portions of the game play where you need to plan, and often game play is not simply spoon feeding you non-stop meaningless action. Which leads us right back to the point that EvE is not a theme park. If you want nearly constant action you can create that yourself. RvB is only one example.

I certainly hope the staff and management at CCP get fat, rich, and happy creating and running EvE. I can think of few entertainment companies that deserve it more.

We already know that you dislike Eve and about 90% of it's player base, do yourself (and everybody else) a favour and leave already.

To the OP:
As others have said tutorial bugs/glitches are dealt with very quickly by CCP, but they can't deal with it without being informed about it.

What were the circumstances of you being ganked? were you ganked by another player?, did you take something from a yellow can (you shouldn't be able to do that with the safety on)? or did you lose a ship to NPCs (which is actually part of 2 tutorials)?

If you can elaborate on exactly what happened you'll find that most people will be quite happy to point out where you went wrong. If it was another player that ganked you, contact them, explain that you're new and ask them what you did that allowed them to kill you without Concord intervention.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

My guesses as to why concord didn't respond someone came into where you was missioning can flipped you without you noticeing you then became flashie red to them and they shot you.... Or they came in stole from one of your wrecks became flashie red to you and not paying attention you believe the players ship is a npc ship and shoot at him giving him the right to blow you up without concord intervention .

The second scenario can be avoided easily by haveing you overview setup right and you can learn how to this on the eve uni wiki page theres also videos on youtube that show how to do it aswell.

If you got killed in 1.0 security space with no concord response, yo didn't get ganked lol.

As for the rest, bugs are bad and all.

But the escaping BS thing is jsut BS (lol). All games are not the same. EVE is a game about conflict and loss and bad people kicking over sandcastles. It's not meant to be "relaxing" though some of us find semi-relaxing activities in it like shooting various types o f npcs.

There are way better games for escapism and stress relief than EVE.

Aww, 2 days old and already in full emo mode. Isn't that cute...

1/10

And yet this is what the "eve would get so much more subs if" types want MORE of. People unsuited to the game (you need to be the PATIENT type to be an EVE) , crapping it up everywhere they go.

I say no, keep EVE exclusive, let these other chaps enjoy spewing crap on XBox/ps3/etc etc comms.

Welcome to the wonderful world of gaming!

Last fanfest none of the devs was fat. Well... maybe except Hilmar who was a bit overweight.

If this year he will be still fat, I will sell my 1 Tritanium for 5B and quit the game. In Jita local.

EvE is not that harsh. There is a ideal that people like to promote as EvE as they think it makes them different or more special than other gamers. Don't believe the hype.

EvE suffers the same problems as other games. What you have described could happen in every PvP game out there. There are ways to get flagged in all PvP games and you need to understand them or you will suffer the consequences.

Luckily EvE is a big universe with something for everyone. Don't let anyone tell you how EvE is supposed to be played, discover what you enjoy and you will never be disappointed again.

In a serious note, that's right Nexus. Is anybody here remember Nihilum from WoW vanilla? Was anybody of you there? Indeed, EVE lack of the incredible achievements we had in WoW.
