250mm Light Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet Fusion S
[empty high slot]

Small Projectile Collision Accelerator I
Small Projectile Burst Aerator I

I've been having some fun with this fit recently. I've been thinking about going t2 collision rig and a tracking rig to replace the aerator. Get a Zor's hyperlink to make yourself go a little faster and this thing is great.

Proms fit does about 1200-1400 alpha. You start firing at 30 odd km. it's preferred target is interceptors which it pops in 3 or 4 shots.

Its a niche fit which is hurt by having a DCU. Damage and tracking, in this case, equals tank.

If you get 3-4 volley's off on an inty moving at 2k/s then you are flying against bad ceptors.

Using autocannons won't change that. It'll just make the setup a worse kiter.

They need to swap the optimal and falloff bonuses on the Wolf and Jaguar. They also need to tweak the Wolf's fitting grid - a bit more CPU in exchange for some power perhaps.

The Arty Jag loses to an Arty Wolf on the damage curve both on the front and back end. It only pulls ahead in the middle a bit and it's a very small window. Three turrets can't compete with four. On the other hand the AC Jaguar has horrible damage projection. A falloff bonus would make the Jag fast and lethal with alot of options with four mids and four lows. It wouldn't be the most damaging AF but it would be the most versatile.

An AC Wolf has difficulty contilling range. An arty Wolf would benefit from an optimal bonus more then falloff.

I was saying that exact thing since 2011. People won't think it's a good idea until CCP or someone with legit reputation says it

They won't take it seriously I mean. They'll come up with all kinds of stupid excuses for it being the way it is, simply because that's the way it is.

It's been said by people with substantial reputation for as long as I can remember. They addressed that issue specifically during the AF rebalance. I expect we'll see them finally swap it on the second pass.

The wolf is just better than the Jag regardless - the jag needs a 4th turret slot or a drone bay if it's going to be competitive with the wolf - maybe even a shield rep bonus. Yes, it can tackle better but it doesn't have enough DPS to fly it instead of a scram fitted wolf... or any other AF for that matter.

Without a faction point you will apply about 60 DPS.
