Fix Freighter undocking please!

I do a lot of hauling in my Charon Freighter, between lots of different stations, and very often when I undock, if I try to warp to the stargate or other station I want to go to, my Freighter gets stuck on the station and doesn't move anywhere. I can come back half an hour later and find that it is still stuck.

My undocking procedure has devolved to where I undock and then I do some other things on my computer for like 5 minutes, before I return to the client to warp. It's extremely annoying.

Why can't large ships, when they undock, be ejected at a greater distance from the station? 1.5 km or so would probably do the trick, and since it's only for large ships which are always slow (Orca, Freighter) it's of no PVP benefit.

Alternatively, give all undocking large ships a speed boost when they undock, so that initially they move 400 m/s or so. Since that's much faster than the top speed of such ships, they'd immediately start decelerating, bu hopefully it would solve the problem of moving them some significant distance away from the station in the first 2-3 seconds.

I know I can make a bookmark 300 km or so in front of the undock opening of each such problem station and just warp to that but, that solution only makes sense if I use the same few stations again and again, and that's not the case with my hauling operation. It's also stupid that one has to jump through such ******** hoops to bypass game design flaws.

because if they are ejected further from the station and you get tackled to be shot you can't redock in most cases, simple solution is to create a bookmark some 400 km off in the undock direction and warp there first, use a cepter to create your BM.

just wait a minute till your freighter moves away from the station before engaging auto pilot.

Ejecting freighters with higher speeds from the undock (range) would result in freighter loss mails of all kinds, when freighters and jump freighters are killed at stations because they are catapulted 5km away from the station in the first seconds of undock before the ship could even stop.

Not everyone is living in high sec.

Are you sure 60 seconds of max. veloxity drift is enough, when undocking from a problem station?

And to the other poster, I regularly undock from about 100 different stations. It's an insane amount of work, identifying the ones that are problematic and then creating a warp-to bookmark for every one of them.

im pretty sure its enough, fly a (jump) freighter from times to times. If you see you're not going to leave the problematic station undock within 60 seconds, you could try to move in a different direction immediately after undock, this should fix all your issues.

Will you be happier when you get ganked because you're too far away to redock? Throw a packaged frigate with a MWD in your cargo hold. When you dock at a new station, take 2 minutes out of your uber busy game playing experience to make an undock bookmark point. Warp back to station. Repackage the frigate and toss it back in your cargo hold. Undock freighter, warp to new book mark. Problem solved, and it cost you like three minutes, tops.

Better than than (reportedly) five minutes you're spending hung up on stations, right?

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

If possible, warp to something that is inline, or close to it, with the undock, then warp to to your next gate/station. If it is a common circut you make, create some fast undock book marks 300+ away from the station inline with the undock and use those. Warping to that and turning around is often faster than trying to slow down from the station push anyway.
