How do I tell if my server is blocked from the API?

Our server was running an API check on people auth'ed to the forums using Temar's API mod.

Around 1/3 of the way through, it gave a 400 document error.

I'd assume that error was either the API server died or perhaps blocked my servers IP address for "spamming" the server...

How can I tell if thats the case? And if so how can I get CCP to not do so the in future?

If your banned it should say something to that effect a document 400 could just mean there was a connection problem between the server and you is all try it again and see what happens.

Morning,

Over the past few months various attempts have been made at protecting the API service from unsavoury individuals who don't mind causing excessive load for everyone else. As I am no longer responsible for the API service I haven't been paying all too much attention to what is going on so I cannot go into details off the top of my head.

Along side this the service seems to have severly degraded. We're not quite sure what is causing it so last week we created a little cross-discipline task force (BUZZWORDS! Sad) to take a look at what's been causing these troubles.

So although I have absolutely no answers for you right now, I thought I'd at least chime in and tell you the horrible service level is being looked at. Blink
