Buscemi would be awesome as The Rabbit, but I think John Leguizamo is a much better Fatal than Willis. Seriously, from his performance in Land of the Dead.

Also, Neeson is PERFECT for Sansha!

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

If we're going to have Alan Rickman for Salvador Sarpati, can we have Jason Isaacs for Igil Sarpati?

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

what this thread tells me is that ccp is secretly planning an eve feature film and are saying this is all just for fun to throw us off the scent.

I think Kate Blanchette would be a better jamyl sarum, her voice difinitely doesn't work for aura. Kate Beckinsale would be better for aura.

The Mittani, while Ted Danson is a good likeness, I would say that Richard Armitage could give the character better justice...after all, some hair dye, and you're in business. And I would figure that most capsuleers (and Amarrian nobility) should be played by younger actors/actresses--aside from those that were old when they became immortal--since they effectively do not age when being cloned (or, for Amarrians, just age really slowly).

I have to say, Jamyl Sarum looks more Jennifer Lawrence than Angelina Jolie...(Even in the cutscenes.) I understand Jamyl is far older than she looks, but she still looks young.

As for Aura, how about they just get the master of "off" Electronic Female voices, Ellen McLain?

And what about making Joss Whedon as the Screenwriter/Writer (thus getting the benefits of Joss plus Christopher Nolan)? If ever a work needed comedy followed closely by loved characters dying off brutally with no warning, it is EVE Online.

And a side note, wouldn't the massive scope and "grandeur" of New Eden (and its complicated, constantly-intertwining plots) be better suited to a mini-series? (More time to explain everything at a good pace.)

IMO, I'd go with Monica Bellucci for Jamyl Sarum; she has a very commanding presence.

Tibus Heth would be an older Tom Hardy a la Bronson or Lawless. When I think of Tibus Heth, I think of a man capable of incredible physical and emotional strength but with a very dark side.

Sarpati would be Al Pacino.

Korvin Lears would be played by Alexander Skarsgard or Jude Law.

The Broker would be Willem Dafoe.

Sansha Kuvakei should be played by Crispin Glover.

Fatal would be Robert Downey, Jr. and Rabbit would be Christian Bale as he was in The Machinist.

Zazzmatazz would be Will Ferrell, just for the lulz.

Mordu would be Jack Nicholson.

I'm not sure if he was referring to Salvador or Igil, but I believe I've changed my mind. While casting Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman together would be fun for Harry Potter fans, I think that having Al Pacino and Alan Rickman as Igil and Salvador (respectively) would have several advantages:
1.) their apparent ages would seem more fitting for a father and son
2.) they actually look alike
3.) they have a similar demeanor from a temporal sense (going by age - Al Pacino was very serious once upon a time but as a veteran action/horror actor he can take gratuitous violence with a chuckle)
4.) they both have a similar nose
and probably more if I sat here and thought about it for a while

I've got to agree, Joss Whedon is an awesome choice to write a screenplay, even if he did completely murder the Alien franchise with the abomination that was Alien Resurrection. Big smile

where's Vin Diesel in all this?? why isn't he listed?? I think he'd make the best Maletau Shakor ever, given his history with movies where he has glowing eyes(or something like that) and in which he plays as a very unusual criminal.
