Salvage drones, how to use effective?

Hello again,
I can finally use my new Salvage drones, but I'm having some trouble commanding them, after looking at some youtube vids I still cant find a way to just let them salvage one ship after another, is there a way to just let them salvage (your wrecks) in the area, or every wreck you locked, or do you have to assign every drone to a wreck again and again(and again and again and again)?

Tell the drones to salvage while the active target isn't a wreck otherwise they'll only salvage that wreck.

To guarantee it works tell them to salvage when you don't have any targets locked at all.

So lets say if I have 30 wrecks lying around in a 30km radius, I target nothing they will just salvage all 30 for me(ofcourse not at the same time).

and ty for the quick response btw.

edit: They most of the time just salvage 1 wreck and then go green again and I have to command them to salvage another ship again because it says there is no wreck to salvage (even though there are atleast 10 around me)

Make sure that...

A) They are your wrecks, not wrecks that were made by a corp mate, this seems to be a bit bugged atm as you should be allowed to salvage all white wrecks automatically.

B) They havent been abandoned (turned blue) (related to the bug above as all blue wrecks should work too but don't)

If it is a wreck that you created then it will salvage all wrecks without having to target them. However, if it is a wreck belonging to someone else then you have to target them each individually. At least that has been my experience.

I tell them to salvage while I have not locked on anything and it works just fine. They keep going from one wreck after another and salvage. I can lock on wrecks or other things after the drones got their command and it will not interfere with their work.

I think this is my problem, they seem to work perfect with all close by ships.

Just an FYI, but a change is coming on this point. It is a bug and has been fixed on Sisi so "soon" it'll work correctly Big smile

Drone Control Range = 20 km + Scout Drone Operation Skill * 5 + Electronic Warfare Drone Interfacing Skill * 3

I can't imagine wanting to fitting a Drone Link Augmentor II (high slot) on a Noctis, but it would add 24 km. Maybe if you are running a mission on another account at the time...

Electronic Warfare Drone Interfacing doesn't effect salvage drones.

Hmm. My drone control range is 57 km. I was able to salvage at 69 km.

I don't know if they have a range limit now.
