Rydis, the CFC Sky Marshal said that in the future strategic assets, i.e. supercapitals, will not be committed to an unreinforced node in the future, no matter what.

My favorite part. Is there a website or something I can go to to schedule a time I enter your region? Perhaps send an Eve Mail to someone? I would hate for you to lose strategic assest.

There's a form you fill out to let CCP know where and when you plan to have a bunch of guys in a system.

Once upon a time you needed to do this if you expected even 600 people would be in a single system shooting each other. If you didn't, the server would crash.

Rydis has a point. It's one thing to lose a Titan when the pilot makes a mistake, it's another when you're booted from the server due to activity, and can't log back on in time to have a chance to save it.

Everything CCP has done with TiDi and the servers has been, in part, to reduce the need of people to have to tell them before hand.

If the result of committing strategic assets is going to be thousands of people in unreinforced system, with a chance of losing them due to crashes, then it's better to just have CCP reinforce the system to hopefully prevent that.

Had they known they were going to end up with 3000 people in a system fighting, they would have told CCP in advance.

It has nothing to do with "losing strategic assets", and everything to do with not needlessly committing them to situations where they can be lost to a black screen.

But you don't give a **** about any of that. You just want to spurge a little crap about something you don't clearly aren't familliar with.

Excellent summary.

Another thing people in empire space may not know. Losing is a super is a Big Deal. It's a big deal in terms of ISK lost, alone. However, replacing the things is even worse. It takes 3 or 4 hours to replace a battleship loss-and those are built in bulk in empire. The logistics team can just truck those up from Jita when we whelp an Alpha Fleet. (Whelping an Alpha fleet is actually a little more than losing a super carrier, ISK wise.) For a regular capital, it's a two week production time. So, if an alliance's dread fleet is whelped, they are without those capitals for two weeks, leaving their systems vulnerable. For a supercarrier it's about a month to replace, a titan is much longer. And, they have to be built in a CSAA, making them the only ships in the game that can be destroyed while being built. So yeah, while the CFC can easily replace the supers lost in Asakai, in terms of ISK, it's still going to take time.

It's a big deal for Alliances who do not control the endless moon-goo faucet.
Why you would consider it significant makes me wonder what game you've been playing?
Is a Goon seriously claiming issues with ISK?

If you don't have 100's of SC holding alts sitting offline with extra SC's you might want to ask where all that Moon-goo is going to..... Shocked

Reading stuff is hard isn't it.

He just said a bunch of words about how the isk isn't the problem.
Can you at least pretend like you undrestand the stuff you read?

And if you had bothered to read, the summary I was responding to, it clearly states....

" Losing is a super is a Big Deal. It's a big deal in terms of ISK lost, alone. However, replacing the things is even worse."

I addressed both issues, If you don't have hundreds of holding alts sitting offline waiting need, then your leadership has been spending too much on wax and prefabricated hives.....

Any questions? Shocked

It's called SFR and free stuff. As I said, losing a Alpha Fleet is worse than losing a super carrier. We lost fleets a lot. Alliance command also hands out plexes to people that do work for the Alliance, server stuff, director jobs that take up lots of time, etc.

Can't say that it is working. But some of their actions have sure hurt quite a few people.

Goons are not out to destroy the game. Cripes. Goons have set up this amazing news site (who's articles were referenced in a devblog) because they like this game. They are, however, interested in ruining your game. See the difference?

Thats because most people are in CFC, HBC main and alt alliances. Next you will say majority of US news is about US related stuff -.-

2 events involving Goons have made headlines, 1 was to do with Haargoth disbanding Bob and the other was the fight the other day, where MOST articles didnt even mention Goons but did mention DnD, CFC, HBC, hardly world recognition, plus there was a massive amount of "who cares" responses. Yet the ISK Bank drama made more headlines than both

As for player driven, bluing all of Eden is so not original, NC tried it and GBC tried it before them, its not new and its not news worthy

Goons relevance is limited to EVE, a person who quits EVE never deals or even hears anything to do with Goons, no matter how much Mao Mittani insecurely tries to make Goonswarm relevant in RL

So gratz on the achievement in EVE guys, if only you put that much effort in RL, you would have been known as more than just 'gamers out of touch with reality' LolLolLol

No way you can convince me the guy that clicked the wrong button was sober.........P

Also, heard he no longer FC......

He's still an FC, he has just been banned from commanding cap fleets.

And it isn't the first time he's been banned from running cap fleets, so go figure.

The most ironic part is that Marlona was no doubt giddy over our fleet getting smacked so hard, but such a welp would never have happened under Marlona's ideas to nerf power projection and structure mails.

Either the tower would have been lost because no one knew it had been attacked, or a much smaller force would have fought over it, and DBRB would probably never been in range to bridge the fleet jump his titan in.
