Hey guys,
Hope all is good and thanks for coming by to read this.

Basically, my issue is that EvE is causing my laptop to blue screen. some thing along the lines of a driver_irql_is_not_(i forget the rest)

Now i expect people to say virus check, update drivers, etc etc. im pretty good with comptuers and have tried everything i can possibly think of. so please dont waste my time with that :)

so how do i know its EvE causing the bsod? well it never bsod's at all on other games, or doing anything else, just on EvE.

The laptop im using is ancient though. it did have vista on it, and EvE worked perfectly fine on vista, but iv put XP SP3 on it, and downloaded drivers from the Acer website (except the graphic chip, i got that from the intel website) the laptop does officially support XP so its not that.

Im running on(dont laugh, acctually i laugh whenever i see it :D )
Intel celeron CPU 560 2.13GHZ (single core :'( )
1GB DDR2 Ram
mobile intel 965 express chipset family
windows xp sp3

i have reinstalled eve, updated drivers, tried closing everything in task manager and running eve, tried repairing eve, tried everything i can think of. i know this laptop is rubbish, but its the best i have accessto currently.

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

PS. my typeing is terrible i know, sorry

BSOD could be caused by a lot of things like hardware issues, drivers and such.

I don't believe eve it's self would cause a BSOD but it could be something about the game that is causing a driver issues.

C:\Windows\minidump should have a file that contains all the info about what caused the crash.

Without it, or the stop code, there is not much I can say about what is causing your problem.

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/bluescreenview_setup.exe This is a program that will give you info on what is causing your BSOD's by reading your dump files from the crashes
