Movie making time!

So, I have a script...it's about 10-15 minutes worth of material from Eve: Empyrean Age. For those that have read the book, it is the uprising in the Caldari Constructions Armor Forge Factory on Piak III going until Shutsu's withdrawal. It has a little bit of everything: fighting, politics, dropships, a doublecross, small arms, missiles, etc.

What I need is people that have experience doing CGI rendering. I'm not talking Garry's Mod; I mean serious rendering. I can line up voice actors for this, but I need help rendering the scenes. If you have any sort of experience with that sort of thing, drop me a line. We can do cell shading, Full-up CGI, animation movement, anything is a possibility right now.

The idea is to make this into a "moving storyboard" to get CCP on board to make a whole movie. Everyone has said we should, but as far as I can tell, nobody's taken the initiative.

I'm taking the initiative.

So, let me know if you have interest or experience, and we'll see what we can do.

Very nice project, have you ever seen Clear Skies (there are three episodes) ? I think it's the only EvE Machinima which tried to render the "out of pod" experience in New Eden.

I'll keep checking this thread.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of (as in caliber and quality) of artwork are you looking for? I am actually working on my own project at home (non-eve), but an eve thing on the side has crossed my mind more then once.

IMO my skills still need allot of work. That is just a basic geometry with a texture thrown onto it. I rendered it with blender in Cycles. I have only started doing this about 6 months ago and Blender has a learning curve as steep as EVE does. I spend far more time screwing around with CGI software these days then I do playing EVE Online. It is my new addiction Big smile


But I don't know if I have the time for another project to be frank. I am just a bit curious about yours.
