Where to find a fight?

So, about 2 months ago I entered the lovely world of solo PvP, and I love it. I can fit a 30 million Destroyer or AF and get more adrenaline in a short few minutes than I've had playing any other video game ever. However, I seem to be running into a problem very often now. I always go looking for a fight in the border null sec systems, and I can usually find a player or two, however the second I hop into local they always bring in a few other buddies and it becomes a 5v1, with me waiting in a safe spot for hours waiting for d-scan to tell me they left so I can fight a few of them. And I can't even find anybody in low sec. I've resorted to asking for duels in Amarr, and it works surprisingly well, most players honor them. So my question is, is there any place where I can find relatively even fights besides getting lucky in alliance null sec and duels?

RvB (permanent highsec corp war) and faction warfare are both primarily restricted by ship size and not very fleety, and so tend to have more of what you're looking for.

@OP, there is no solo PVP in eve. You joined a multiplayer game, be social, find friends. what did you expect?

Yes I quit... that was my 2nd or 3rd time quitting. I also quit for 24 hours a few weeks ago

If you don't go in for prearranged 1v1's (I don't care for them) then you need a strategy for engaging that accounts for backup. Scout alt, kite ship, high damage. You can use FAC war plexes (ships can't warp in a plex and can't warp to players near the gate). There are lots of tricks to isolate a ship long enough for you to do what you need to do.

Use the map, ships destroyed and pilots in space helps a lot. The gallente/cal fw systems are pretty active and easy to find fights because of the outposts. Most of the pilots are flying dessie and frig as well. I hang around tama/rakapas loop and the route from okkamon to ishomilken/hasama and have no problem finding fights. On top of FW there are lots of pirates in the area. Good luck

Any low-sec system that is part of Faction Warfare will have more small gang fights than you can handle. If you enter a Plex in a non-backwater system (even as a non-FW participant, maybe even more so as now you will have both militia's after you), you are almost guaranteed a fight before that timer hits zero.

You missed one hell of a fight in Hek earlier. Huge frig swarm which died in a fire to a pair of smartbomb battleships which subsequently died in a fire to everyone in local.
